JOB SUMMARY
This is an internal job opportunity exclusive to

current employees of Williamson County
Reporting directly to an assigned manager or director, responsible for independently analyzing, defining, and creating technological solutions for multiple and/or critical software applications. Serves as the primary technology owner in a designated technology area. Level II of III in Analysts.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED

  • Performs technical analysis of applicable data to produce products and solutions to resolve technology-related business problems
  • Assists with developing alternative workflow solutions by analyzing and testing new or existing procedures
  • Develops alternative workflow solutions
  • Analyzes and defines business processes associated with system enhancements
  • Provides advanced technical consulting and support services as needed
  • Works as part of a team to procure and implement major systems or upgrades to existing applications and systems
  • Makes technical decisions to best complete tasks and projects
  • Attends all meetings and trainings, as required
  • Performs special duties as assigned

Specialized Assignments (in addition to the duties above):

Network
  • Assists Network Engineer with basic switch configurations
  • Assist with loading switch and router operating systems
  • Helps maintain updates on switches and routers
  • Manages Network Access Control (NAC) solution
  • Assists in maintaining switch and router inventory module
  • Assists with level 2 LAN/WAN troubleshooting and changes related to additions and changes of equipment and configurations, including routers, switches, and Wireless hardware, and configurations
  • Assists Network Engineer with new and on-going construction projects
  • Works with the Network Engineer to provide technical assistance in identifying, evaluating, selecting, deploying and writing procedures

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Position involves prolonged sitting at a workstation, visual examination of documents, reaching, walking, twisting, bending, standing and occasional lifting/carrying

  • Work is primarily indoors in an air-conditioned environment
  • Regular travel between work sites as required

IRREGULAR HOURS
  • Work outside of the normal office hours (Monday - Friday) may be required
  • May be deemed essential personnel in the event of an emergency

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
