Role Overview We are looking for an IT Administrator to manage, maintain, and support the organization's IT infrastructure, systems, and users. The role involves system administration, network support, user management, troubleshooting, security, backups, and ensuring the availability and reliability of IT services.
Key Responsibilities - Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, workstations, and IT infrastructure.
- Administer Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, and access controls.
- Administer Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and resource utilization.
- Configure and maintain network devices, including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Manage system updates, patches, antivirus, endpoint protection, and security configurations.
- Implement and monitor backup and recovery procedures.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, software licenses, and system documentation.
- Support cloud infrastructure and services across platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Monitor system and application logs and investigate technical issues.
- Automate routine administration and maintenance tasks using scripting where appropriate.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity activities.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware, software, and infrastructure support.
- Ensure IT systems comply with organizational security policies and standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance to employees and internal teams.
Required Skills - Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux system administration.
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration.
- Understanding of networking, VPNs, firewalls, and remote-access technologies.
- Experience with system monitoring, patch management, and backup solutions.
- Knowledge of endpoint management and security tools.
- Basic understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication, documentation, and time-management skills.
Preferred Skills - PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune or other endpoint-management platforms.
- Knowledge of virtualization and container technologies.
- Experience with IT service-management tools and ticketing systems.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and infrastructure hardening.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, Zabbix, or similar.
