Security Administrator - Job Description

Job Title: Security Administrator

Role Overview

We are looking for a Security Administrator to manage, monitor, and maintain the organization's security infrastructure. The role involves implementing security controls, managing access, monitoring security events, responding to incidents, and ensuring systems remain protected against cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, administer, and maintain security systems and tools.
  • Monitor security alerts, logs, and events for suspicious activity.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, roles, and access controls.
  • Implement and maintain firewall, VPN, endpoint, email, and network-security controls.
  • Perform security configuration reviews and hardening of servers, endpoints, and network devices.
  • Support vulnerability scanning, patch management, and remediation activities.
  • Investigate security incidents and assist with incident response and recovery.
  • Manage antivirus, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and other security technologies.
  • Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Conduct periodic access reviews and support identity and access management (IAM).
  • Assist with security audits, compliance assessments, and risk-management activities.
  • Maintain security documentation, reports, configurations, and incident records.
