Overview

Summary/Objective

The Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for coordinating daily inventory operations to ensure accuracy, accountability, and efficiency across all warehouse and production areas. This role oversees cycle counts, monitors inventory transactions, investigates discrepancies, and supports continuous improvement initiatives in alignment with company objectives. The Inventory Control Supervisor helps coordinate information flow between production, purchasing, and logistics to maintain data integrity within the ERP system and ensure materials are available where and when needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:
  1. Lead daily inventory control activities including cycle counts, audits, adjustments, and reconciliations.
  2. Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies between physical counts and ERP records.
  3. Maintain and update part locations, cycle counts, and Kanban replenishment systems.
  4. Support year-end physical inventory and variance analysis.
  5. Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and production departments to ensure timely and accurate material movement.
  6. Train and guide inventory team members in proper counting, labeling, and data entry procedures.
  7. Monitor inventory accuracy metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce variances.
  8. Generate and analyze reports on inventory levels, usage trends, and stock discrepancies.
  9. Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to minimize damage and obsolescence.
  10. Support cross-functional projects involving inventory reduction, space utilization, and process optimization.
  11. Enforce safety, 5S, and quality standards within all inventory areas.

Compensation

Salary of $82K - $87K per year.

Freedman by Lippert determines pay based on several factors, including but not limited to the position being offered, education, skills, work experience, and other factors permitted by law. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.

Supervisory Responsibility:
  • This position does have direct reports in the inventory control department.

Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling. The team member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager.

Travel:

Travel will be minimal and will be primarily local during the business day.
