About the role

The Innovation Insights Lead- OTC will be a strategic partner to the Innovation team, being a key voice in the Innovation Strategy, and leading the end-to-end learning agenda for key OTC innovations in the US market. This would include Pain, Cough, Cold, Flu, and Allergy categories with leading our brands including Advil, Voltaren, Excedrin, Robitussin, Theraflu, and Flonase. The candidate will leverage these insights to drive clarity about the key components of successful innovations (proposition, packaging, claims, messaging) and work closely with cross-functional partners to ensure that our innovations are rooted in consumer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive, in partnership with the Innovation Lead, the Innovation Strategy, curating existing knowledge coming from different sources to inform our Innovation Pillars
  • Own the end-to-end Innovation research as established in the Innovation Operating Model
  • Drive agile, fit-to-purpose decision making, driving quality in execution without compromising speed to market
  • Become an instrumental stakeholder as the "voice of the consumer" in strategic discussions with Innovation, Brand, Customer Strategy, R&D and other key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Category/Brand Insights and Shopper Insights to mine existing foundational insights.
  • Clearly articulate recommendations based on existing knowledge, inclusive of current knowledge and new research.
  • Drive pilots of new methods to understand "what's next" in research methodologies to drive precision and agility.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in strategy, brand management, innovation, consumer/shopper insights, analytics, or roles that involve enabling simplicity in complex situations.
  • Experience in managing multi project-based workload and written, strong functional/technical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Familiarity with secondary data sources (i.e. Circana, Numerator, etc)
  • Familiarity with consumer/shopper research methods.
  • Experience using do-it-yourself market research tools, analytics platforms, and/or AI-driven approaches to design, execute, and synthesize research
  • Agile and quick learner with strong strategic abilities and mindset.
  • Excellent communicator and presenter, with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with different leadership styles.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders and cross-functional colleagues.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends from multiple sources and translate insights into compelling storytelling.

Location: This is a hybrid position based in Warren, NJ, requiring on-site presence 3 days per week.

The Salary Range for this role is $121,952 - $167,684 USD + a 12% annual target bonus.
