Position: Industry Manager-Nuclear

Position Overview:

This is a highly autonomous role in which the individual will manage a large territory and build strategic working relationships on a global scale. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the Power and Nuclear sector and will be responsible for the organizations sales and future growth activity in the Nuclear market.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Directly promote and sales of ValvTechnologies Nuclear valve and related products globally
  • Develop compelling pipeline opportunities for business and sales growth
  • Ability to meet order intake and sales revenue targets
  • Plan and oversee new sales initiatives in Nuclear markets
  • Ownership of sales pipeline
  • Agree bid strategies for key target contracts across Nuclear divisions
  • Accurately forecast sales and opportunities for inclusion within board reports
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets
  • Build relationships with key clients, develop opportunities and identify routes to market
  • Drive Regional Sales Leadership and Individuals in pursuit of projects in Nuclear Industries
  • Represent the company at trade shows, general sales meetings, and general industry function as requested
  • Liaise with the inside sales and engineering groups to provide project input and to assist the inside sales team in establishing project price levels and margins
  • Day to day coordination of Sales personnel

Core Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar or related role with a mechanical engineering background (not necessarily in the valve industry) but experience in working with complex engineered products
  • Degree qualified, ideally within a science or engineering discipline
  • Demonstrable experience in sales and business development in a relevant industry
  • Track record of success selling to OEM's, end users and distributors
  • Self-motivated and self-starting individual with experience of the Nuclear industry and key customers
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills honed on developing successful quotations, proposals and tenders
  • Strong customer relationship and account management experience within the Nuclear industry
  • Ability to 'think outside the box', sales driven and can-do mentality and aptitude to seek openings with a keen eye for new opportunities
  • Takes an active role in keeping track of commercial bids and tenders and ensuring company participation promptly
  • Exemplar, leadership skills, as well as sales coaching, development and team building skills
  • Team player with the ability to energize, develop, and build rapport, collaboration and influence at all levels within an organization
  • Open and comfortable to frequent travel
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and multi-task
  • International experience in a complex engineering and/or nuclear environment
