Responsibilities

  • Handle customer inquiries and concerns, often collaborating with the Field Service Department
  • Follow up regularly on all submitted quotations

Position: Industry Specialist

Shift: On-site

Position Overview:

This position's overall purpose is to develop and direct Valvtechnologies, Inc. long term vision as a part of a cross-functional team. This position is responsible for technical sales, quoting and commercial support; this includes responding to customer and channel partner inquiries and working in partnership with field sales, engineering and project management staff to secure and grow engineered product sales.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement specific quotations and marketing strategies, for all end-users as well as all major contractor and engineering companies on a worldwide basis
  • Negotiate and manage major strategic alliances and major valve contracts
  • Reviews all the technical & commercial requirements of request for quotes and/or contracts received; particular emphasis on maximizing the company profit potential
  • Consults closely with Engineering on proposed product configurations to ensure conformance to company capabilities and industry standards
  • Knowledge of specific codes and standards as the relate to the individual industry focus
  • Must be able to handle customer problems, complaints, questions in field either personally or in conjunction with Field Service Department
  • Regularly follows-up on all quotations

Core Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in O&G
  • Strong knowledge of process and severe service applications within the O&G markets
  • Understanding of valve and actuator manufacturing material/product application with goal of improving quoting, design and manufacturing processes and efficiency
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and workflows
  • The ability to accurately read, review, and interpret specifications and data sheets
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines with the ability to deliver on time; ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strongly customer-centric in style and behaviors
  • Ability to work directly with end-users representatives and distributers
