The Advanced Software team at Ingram Micro Canada delivers top-tier software solutions through a strong vendor portfolio and a team of 30+ certified associates. We support partners with strategic guidance, sales enablement, and technical expertise to help them design and implement tailored solutions. Our Canadian-based team holds different certifications, ensuring localized, expert support that drives customer satisfaction, efficiency, and profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Manages pre-sale and some post-sale technical support activities, including assessment of how company products meet customer needs and the preparation of product specifications for development and installation of customized applications/solutions.
- Establishes and maintains lines of communication with design engineering on issues such as considerations for product reliability.
- Conduct engaging and informative product demonstrations, presentations, and proofs-of-concept to showcase technical capabilities.
- Prepare technical proposals, including sizing a Bill of Materials, scope of work, pricing, and timelines, in collaboration with internal teams.
- Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into non-technical terms for stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with clients by addressing technical questions, resolving challenges, and providing ongoing support during the sales cycle.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies to position the company as a leader in the market.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in pre-sales and post-sales technical roles.
- Skilled at training partners, customer support, and technical enablement.
- Skilled in delivering engaging, informative, and confident product demos and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to clients, leadership, and other stakeholders.
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all tasks are prepared on time and executed efficiently.
- Strong background in open-source technologies, including Red Hat, SUSE, and Canonical.
- Having any experience with Red Hat OpenShift or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform certifications would be an asset but are not required.
- Driven individual who excels in delivering results and building strong relationships with the team, partners, and leadership.

The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is $110,000- $120,000 per year. The ranges above reflect the potential annual starting base pay across all of Canada for all roles. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, including work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills.
