FIRE INSPECTION MANAGER

What You Will Do

The Inspection Manager shall oversee Sprinkler & Fire Alarm Inspectors for Johnson Controls, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to industrial standards.

How You Will Do It

  • Oversee and support Sprinkler & Fire Alarm Inspectors’ daily activities, recommend hiring and promotions, and provide consistent training to enhance team capabilities.

  • Maintain complete understanding of company policies and ensure inspectors align with them, promoting compliance and accountability.

  • Foster a culture of customer-centric service excellence by removing operational obstacles and motivating employees to exceed performance targets.

  • Collaborate with Inspection Coordinators to streamline scheduling and ensure thorough review of deficiency inspection reports, driving continuous improvement.

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among teams and customers, addressing any issues promptly and professionally.

  • Ensure all operations meet contractual obligations, prepare projections, and consistently aim to maximize the productivity of assigned field personnel.

  • Meet with customers and inspectors monthly to strengthen satisfaction and uphold quality standards, fostering trust and collaboration across teams.

What We Look For

  • 5+ years of management experience, preferably in a similar industry.

  • 3+ years of experience in the fire protection/life safety industry.

  • Comprehensive understanding of P&L management and sales activities oversight.

  • Proficient in MS Office and online systems; familiarity with Oracle & maintenance scheduling systems is advantageous.

  • Strong knowledge of fire regulations and codes (e.g., OFC, ULC).

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; NICET certification preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills with an aptitude for tact and diplomacy.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

  • Prepared to pass pre-employment background and drug tests and obtain required licenses as per national, state, and local codes.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $76,000-115,000k (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
