Full Job Description
Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager will serve as a strategic and hands-on partner to leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is primarily responsible for driving talent acquisition, strengthening employee relations, and fostering a positive, high-performance workplace culture. This position does not oversee payroll or benefits administration, allowing for a strong focus on people strategy, engagement, and workforce effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for hourly and salaried roles within a manufacturing setting
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective hiring strategies
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience from sourcing through onboarding

Employee Relations
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on workplace concerns, performance issues, and conflict resolution
  • Conduct investigations and provide guidance on disciplinary actions, ensuring consistency and compliance
  • Promote a culture of respect, accountability, and open communication
  • Support leadership in managing attendance, performance, and engagement challenges

Training & Development
  • Identify training needs and coordinate development initiatives for supervisors and employees
  • Support onboarding and orientation programs to ensure successful employee integration
  • Coach managers on leadership effectiveness and employee engagement

HR Compliance & Policies
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
  • Partner with leadership to ensure consistent application of policies across the organization

Culture & Engagement
  • Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, retention, and workplace morale
  • Support employee recognition programs and feedback mechanisms
  • Champion company values and contributes to a positive, inclusive work environment
  • Assist in general office management by purchasing and monitoring office supplies

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2-3 years in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Strong background in recruiting and employee relations required
  • Solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Proven ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR/SPHR)
  • Experience supporting multi-shift or hourly workforce environments
