Full Job Description
The Finance Analyst will support Oshkosh AeroTech's Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, with a balanced focus on FP&A and pricing activities. This role will support financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, pricing and margin analysis while partnering across the business to understand performance and provide meaningful financial insights. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the curiosity to understand the business behind the numbers. YOUR IMPACT These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned. • Support financial planning and analysis activities, including monthly reporting, forecasting, annual budgeting and analysis of business performance. • Support the GSE pricing function through financial and margin analysis for customer bids and other pricing decisions. • Assist with the annual refresh and ongoing maintenance of product price lists, steel surcharge calculations and customer pricing or frame agreements. • Prepare and analyze financial and operational reporting for Oshkosh AeroTech, including information consolidated across GSE and Jetway and reported through the Vocational segment and Corporate. • Track and report capital expenditures by project and site, providing visibility to spending and investment activity. • Analyze and report backlog performance, including dollars, units and other key business metrics. • Track weekly shipments and other operational indicators to support forecasting and business planning. • Support month-end reporting and close activities for assigned areas, including account reconciliations, financial analysis and preparation of reporting packages in accordance with Corporate Accounting Policies and Procedures. • Partner with finance, operations and other functional teams to understand business performance, identify trends and provide meaningful financial insights. • Develop and maintain accurate, efficient financial models, reports and analytical tools using Excel and other business intelligence tools. • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes and analytics as the FP&A organization continues to develop and mature. • Take ownership of assigned areas by understanding the purpose and business drivers behind the work, identifying issues and proactively pursuing solutions. • Champion the Oshkosh "People First" competencies to engage, develop and connect team members. • Identify and support continuous improvement projects while leveraging the Oshkosh Continuous Improvement Management System (CIMS) tools and concepts. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. • Two (2) or more years of professional experience in finance, accounting, financial analysis or a related area OR Finance/Accounting internship experience within Oshkosh Corporation. • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the ability to work with, organize and analyze detailed financial data. • Strong attention to detail with demonstrated ability to produce accurate work and manage multiple priorities. • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS • Previous Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience, including forecasting, budgeting and management reporting. • Experience supporting pricing, bid margin analysis, profitability analysis or other commercial finance activities. • Public accounting experience. • Experience with Power BI, including developing or working with financial dashboards and reporting. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables and analysis of large data sets. • Experience with capital expenditure reporting, backlog analysis, shipment tracking or other operational finance metrics. • Experience working within a manufacturing or similarly operational business environment. • Experience with Sightline, Infor LN or another ERP/financial reporting system. • Master's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline. • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation. • Demonstrated curiosity and initiative with the ability to take ownership of responsibilities, understand underlying business drivers and identify opportunities for improvement. #LI-TM1 Pay Range: $64,500.00 - $103,500.00 The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
