EDITING & COLOR MANAGER

REPORTS TO: SR. ART DIRECTOR

STATUS: EXEMPT

Summary

The Editing & Color Manager is responsible for leading the post-production image editing for Boot Barn's creative marketing assets. This role oversees color grading, retouching, ecommerce editing, and more, to ensure all content is high-quality, on-brand, and delivered efficiently.

This position plays a key role in executing creative vision, with strong expertise in post-production workflows, file formats, and color processes, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute high-quality editing, color grading, and finishing multimedia assets across campaigns, ecommerce, social, and in-store channels, including non-linear editing, color correction, ensuring all content meets Boot Barn's quality standards.
  • Partner with Creative leadership and cross-functional teams including Marketing, Ecommerce, Merchandising, Photography, and more, to execute creative vision, support campaign objectives, and ensure consistent workflows, asset organization, and brand standards across all content.
  • Lead and manage a team of editors, overseeing project timelines, prioritizing workloads, and ensuring high-quality content is delivered on time in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, while serving as the senior editor for photography and setting standards for editing and color quality.
  • Quality check all final assets to ensure accuracy, consistency, and readiness for distribution across all platforms.
  • Support print production and design needs including direct mail catalogs, store signage, and other marketing materials as needed.
  • Define and maintain color standards and strategy across photography and campaign content, ensuring consistency and brand alignment.
  • Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance.
  • Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management.
  • Adhere to all local, federal and state laws in addition to Company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Performs any other duties that may be assigned by management.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, Design, or related field preferred
  • 5-8+ years of experience in video editing, color grading, and post-production, preferably in a marketing, retail, or agency environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom) and color grading tools
  • Experience managing and developing a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners

PAY RANGE: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00/yr*

*compensation varies based on geography, skills, experience, and tenure
