Job Description

The Director of Visual Merchandising is a senior strategic leader responsible for defining and executing the brand's in-store visual experience across all store locations - balancing creative vision with data-driven decision-making to drive sales conversion and brand consistency.

Strategic Responsibilities
  • Set Visual Strategy: Define the overall in-store experience vision for stores today and future formats; translate brand and marketing objectives into scalable visual merchandising frameworks
  • Enterprise Alignment: Act as the primary liaison between HQ/creative leadership and field operations, ensuring creative intent is consistently executed across all stores and markets
  • Seasonal & Promotional Planning: Lead the development of visual campaigns for product launches, seasonal resets, and promotional events, aligning with merchant and marketing calendars
  • Store Format Innovation: Design display concepts for new store formats, remodels, pop-ups, and concept environments; partner with real estate, space planning and construction teams
  • Brand Standards Ownership: Establish, document, and govern visual standards, planogram guidelines, and fixture/signage specs across all store formats
  • Vendor Partnerships: In conjunction with Merchants, working closely with our key Vendor partners enhance vendor, displays, vendor brand shops and full vendor showcase that enhance their brand while keeping with our brand personality.


Operational & Analytical Responsibilities
  • Data-Driven Optimization: Analyze sales data, conversion metrics, customer insights, and market landscape to continuously improve visual strategies
  • Budget Management: Own the visual merchandising budget across design, fixtures, props, signage, and vendor contracts
  • Field Execution Oversight: Conduct store visits to evaluate display effectiveness, provide guidance, and ensure consistency across multi-unit locations
  • Cross-functional Partnership: Collaborate with Merchandising/Buying, Marketing, Store Operations, and e-commerce teams to align visual execution with business goals


Requirements
  • 10+ years in visual merchandising, retail design, or store operations; multi-unit preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Merchandising, Design, or related field
  • Proven track record managing site merchandising and/or store design teams
  • Experience influencing partner teams and Retail leadership
  • Ability to connect visual strategy to P&L outcomes and sales performance
