What you'll be doing
As Director, Product Management, Private Banking, you'll shape and execute the technology and product strategy for CIBC's Private Banking business. You'll integrate traditional banking and wealth management with enterprise technology to deliver a seamless, differentiated experience for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Your focus will be on identifying, integrating, and optimizing technology platforms across CIBC, streamlining business processes and elevating both client and frontline experiences. You'll leverage AI, automation, and digital innovation to accelerate growth, efficiency, and competitive advantage. This role requires close collaboration with executive stakeholders, business leaders, and cross-functional agile teams to ensure alignment and deliver impactful solutions that drive Private Banking’s evolution.

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $111,060 to $152,710.
The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.
In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.

How you'll succeed
Strategic Product Leadership - Develop and execute a product vision and roadmap that supports Private Banking’s growth, connecting core banking solutions with sophisticated wealth management offerings. Foster innovation by introducing new products and features.
Cross-Enterprise Integration - Identify, integrate, and optimize technologies, platforms, and data assets to deliver unified, scalable solutions. Enable seamless client journeys across CIBC’s business lines.
Market and Technology Alignment - Monitor financial market trends, digital wealth innovations, and regulatory changes to ensure Private Banking technology offerings remain competitive. Evaluate legacy systems and modern frameworks to determine optimal integration paths.
Platform Modernization and AI Enablement - Lead the modernization of the Private Banking technology stack, driving the adoption of AI, automation, and agentic workflows to enhance operational efficiency and client experience.
Stakeholder Management - Build and sustain strong relationships with executive stakeholders. Act as a strategic connector between business and technology teams, ensuring alignment and shared outcomes.
Agile Delivery - Inspire and lead cross-functional, agile teams to deliver high-impact product increments focused on exceptional client experience, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance.
Who you are
You’re a strategic problem solver. You have advanced skills in navigating and resolving complex business and technology challenges, with a proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
You have deep industry expertise. You bring a strong understanding of traditional banking products, wealth management vehicles, and the unique needs of high-net-worth and family office clients.
You’re technically savvy. You possess a robust background in software engineering, technical architecture, or technical product management, with experience designing and evaluating complex system integrations, APIs, and microservices.
You’re an innovator in product management. You have at least 5 years of experience in Product Management within FinTech, WealthTech, or enterprise banking, managing full-lifecycle product development in highly regulated environments.
You’re data-driven. You leverage analytics and AI to inform product decisions and drive continuous improvement.
You’re a connector and leader. You build consensus, lead cross-functional teams, and act as a translator between business and technology stakeholders.
