Full Job Description
Position Overview:

Beam is looking for a Director, Patient Services, to join our growing Market Access team. The Director, Patient Services will lead development and execution of the patient services strategy for risto-cel, Beam's lead asset in development for sickle cell disease.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead patient services for risto-cel, including program design, operational planning, launch readiness, and execution.
  • Develop practical patient support and reimbursement solutions that support brand strategy and overcome access barriers.
  • Partner with Brand, Account Management, Field Market Access, Patient Advocacy, and Patient Operations to execute the Patient Services strategy.
  • Use data and analytics to monitor program performance, identify access and adherence barriers, evaluate cost and service trends, and recommend enhancements that improve patient and provider experience.
  • Partner with Senior Director, Trade & Distribution to manage Hub and patient services programs.
  • Ensure programs operate in alignment with applicable legal, regulatory, privacy, quality, pharmacovigilance, compliance, and internal policy requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred with 15+ years of relevant experience.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry with 8+ years in Patient Services, including field and / or strategy roles.
  • Experience in developing billing & coding guides.
  • Experience in developing patient services strategies, including design of key program elements (e.g., financial assistance programs, travel & lodging, etc.)
  • Experience in evaluating, researching, and securing OIG opinions and deep understanding of Anti-Kickback Statue regulations.
  • Skills in Treatment Center engagement, education, and training
  • Buy & bill and rare disease experience required; Experience in cell or gene therapy preferred.
  • Experience working with cross-functional field teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time/as needed
  • Onsite requirements: Candidates are expected to come onsite 1-3 days per week


The salary range below reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, education, scope of job, internal comparisons, and market data.

Beam Pay Range

$210,000-$260,000 USD
