Position SummaryThe Patient Safety Lead sets the strategy for the Patient Safety domain to drive 4+ Star performance and continuous improvement across key measures, including but not limited to Medication Adherence for Diabetes, Hypertension, and Cholesterol; Statin Use in Persons with Diabetes; Concurrent Use of Opioids and Benzodiazepines; Medication Therapy Management; and Polypharmacy: Use of Multiple Anticholinergic Medications in Older Adults. This role is accountable for defining the strategic direction, identifying performance opportunities, and shaping cross-functional priorities, in close partnership with the team responsible for execution.
Scope: Sets strategic direction to achieve a 4+ Star performance for the Part D clinical measures
Drive significant improvement in all Part D clinical measures year over year
Optimize the strategy to maximize impact with respect to budget for all clinical part D measures
Foster provider and pharmacy relationships to improve clinical outcomes
Drives a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications10+ years of business strategy consulting experience
5+ years of deep expertise in Medicare Part D Stars measures and methodology
5+ years of leadership experience
Strong background in performance analytics, dashboards, and executive reporting
Ability to thrive in a highly dynamic, matrixed organization and drive execution through influence.
Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to lead complex, matrixed teams and deliver enterprise-level results
Preferred QualificationsExperience working with PBM, provider, retail pharmacy, and other clinical partners
Experience partnering with IT, data, and analytics teams to implement enterprise solutions
Education- Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Preferred: Advanced degree (e.g., Masters/Doctorate) or relevant certifications
Pay RangeThe typical pay range for this role is:
$100,000.00 - $231,540.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
