Summary: The Director of Revenue Management is a strategic, data-driven leader responsible for maximizing total hotel revenue, market share, and profitability across all revenue streams, including Rooms, Events, Food & Beverage, and ancillary offerings. Reporting to the General Manager and serving as a key member of the hotel's Leadership Committee, this role leads pricing, inventory, forecasting, distribution, and revenue optimization strategies while overseeing the Reservations function. Partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations leaders, the Director of Revenue Management leverages market intelligence, performance analytics, and commercial insights to drive business results, outperform the competitive set, and position the hotel for long-term success. This position represents a strategic investment in commercial leadership, providing dedicated revenue expertise that supports faster decision-making, stronger accountability, and an enhanced focus on total revenue optimization.
This is a fully on-site position based at Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill.
The annual salary range for this position is $120,000 to $155,000 commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute comprehensive revenue management strategies that maximize hotel revenue, profitability, and market share.
- Optimize pricing, inventory controls, distribution channels, and market segment mix across transient, group, contract, and event business.
- Lead Total Revenue Management initiatives across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Events, and ancillary revenue streams to enhance both topline performance and Gross Operating Profit (GOP).
- Analyze market trends, competitive activity, demand patterns, and economic conditions to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Drive forecasting, budgeting, and revenue planning processes, delivering accurate short- and long-term projections aligned with business objectives.
- Monitor key performance indicators including ADR, occupancy, RevPAR, TRevPAR, Market Penetration Index, and channel performance to inform strategic decision-making.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop integrated commercial strategies, promotional campaigns, and demand-generation initiatives.
- Provide strategic guidance on group pricing, displacement analysis, special events, and key account opportunities.
- Present revenue performance, forecasts, and recommendations to senior leadership and influence critical business decisions.
- Utilize Hyatt revenue management systems and business intelligence tools to support strategic decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop Revenue Management and Reservations team members, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:- 5 to 7+ years of progressive hotel revenue management experience, preferably within a large-scale convention, resort, full-service, or other complex hotel environment.
- Proven success developing and executing revenue strategies that drive market share growth, RevPAR/TRevPAR performance, and profitability.
- Strong understanding of transient, group, contract, wholesale, and distribution channel management.
- Advanced analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business strategies.
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of the relationship between revenue optimization, profitability, and GOP performance.
- Expertise in Microsoft Excel, revenue management systems, and business intelligence tools.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Experience with Opera Cloud, Envision, HyattPro, Reserve, Fornova, Curacity, highly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of coaching, developing, and mentoring high-performing teams.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to build collaborative partnerships across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in a high-volume convention hotel environment strongly preferred.
