Full Job Description
Grow your career as Supplier Engagement Manager within ALG Vacations. As the main liaison for ALG Vacations and our hotel and ancillary suppliers, Supplier Engagement Manager is the company's expert on market trends, products, culture, competition and relationships in assigned markets. In this role, the incumbent will develop and cultivate relationships with suppliers, ancillary partners and tourism organizations with day-to-day engagement and in-market presence representing all the brands within ALG Vacations.

Essential Functions:

The Supplier Engagement Manager will be responsible for negotiating contracts, developing supplier relationships, analyzing data and business trends, and overall market strategy and product development that best enables ALG Vacations to gain competitive advantage and grow market share.

Responsibilities include:
• Analyze destination performance, understand market demands, destination, and industry trends, and create strategies to adapt to a dynamic marketplace.
• Negotiate supplier contracts, net rates, and promotions.
• Create an integrated supplier strategy and work with Strategic Business Units to attain the goals.
• Ensure ALG Vacations has access to the most competitive product and pricing.
• Ensure destination strategies align and support ALG Vacation's strategic pillars.
• Analyze products to ensure competitive product mix.
• Ensure all products offered meet ALG Vacation's standards (content, service, quality, competitive).
• Understand and maximize dynamic distribution channels.
• Align and communicate to leader, team and ALGV brands on strategy, opportunities, and maximizing revenue in the market.

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from four-year college or university and two or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, project management, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Personable interaction and ability to create andmaintainstrong relationships with suppliers and team colleagues.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for promotingproducts and services, including marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Using knowledge and data to create win-win solutions thatbenefitall parties,showcasevalue ofopportunities,and persuade others to engage.
  • The ability to travel by air,car,and train for approximately 20% of your work scheduleto includeinternational travel, travel to corporateheadquartersand trade shows.
  • Travel industry experience and/ortrainingisstrongly preferred.
  • Effective negotiation/selling skills.
  • Strong oral and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to proactively engage with internal and external contributors to deliver desired results.
  • Strong initiative and time management skills.
  • StrongproficiencyMicrosoftsuiteand ability to quickly learn analytics and reporting tools.

The salary range for this position is $76,100-$85,000. This role is also eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan.

The final pay rate/salary offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level and other qualifications for the role, as well as the location of the performance of work. Pay for the successful candidate will meet local requirements, including the local minimum wage rate.
