Position Description:

This is an opportunity to take a leadership role in a large, strategic payments portfolio within the financial services industry. The Director of Consulting Services will have the opportunity to work at the intersection of client leadership, business development, delivery, and emerging technology-helping clients modernize critical payment capabilities while identifying and shaping new opportunities for growth.

The role offers significant visibility and the ability to make a measurable impact. You will work alongside experienced consulting, technology, and business leaders in a highly collaborative team environment, with access to CGI's global capabilities, payments expertise, and growing investments in AI and intelligent automation. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building executive relationships, developing teams, shaping solutions, and turning client challenges into meaningful consulting engagements.

The position provides a balance of autonomy and support, with the opportunity to influence the direction and growth of the portfolio rather than simply manage existing work. It offers exposure to complex, enterprise scale initiatives, opportunities to develop and mentor high performing teams, and a clear platform for continued leadership growth within CGI.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Director of Consulting Services will be responsible for growing and managing a strategic financial services portfolio with a focus on Payments. This role combines client relationship management, business development, consulting leadership, and delivery oversight.

Key responsibilities include:
. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior client business and technology leaders, becoming a trusted advisor and strategic partner.
. Develop a deep understanding of client priorities, business challenges, technology strategies, and investment plans to identify opportunities where CGI can deliver value.
. Drive growth of the Payments portfolio by identifying, shaping, and progressing new consulting and technology opportunities.
. Lead opportunity strategy, solution development, proposals, presentations, and commercial discussions in partnership with CGI subject matter experts and delivery teams.
. Bring relevant payments industry perspectives, market trends, emerging technologies, and CGI capabilities to client conversations.
. Partner with clients on modernization initiatives across payments platforms, digital payments, payment processing, integration, APIs, data, automation, and AI.
. Maintain executive level oversight of active engagements, ensuring CGI delivers against commitments and achieves strong client satisfaction.
. Work closely with delivery leaders to proactively manage engagement health, financial performance, staffing, risks, and client expectations.
. Develop and execute account and portfolio growth plans, including pipeline development, revenue objectives, and strategic priorities.
. Identify opportunities to expand CGI relationships across adjacent business and technology organizations.
. Build, mentor, and develop high performing consulting and delivery teams while creating opportunities for members to grow their careers.
. Collaborate across CGI business units, global delivery centers, industry teams, and technology practices to bring the best of CGI to the client.
. Maintain awareness of the competitive landscape and differentiate CGI through industry expertise, innovative solutions, delivery excellence, and business outcomes.
. Demonstrate accountability for the overall success of the portfolio, balancing client outcomes, member development, revenue growth, and profitability.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. 10+ years of experience in consulting, technology services, or financial services, including progressively responsible leadership roles.
. Demonstrated experience building and managing relationships with senior business and technology executives within large, complex organizations.
. Proven business development experience, including identifying opportunities, shaping solutions, developing proposals, and supporting or leading opportunities through closure.
. Experience managing and growing a portfolio of client relationships, consulting engagements, or technology services.
. Strong understanding of the financial services industry and the business and technology priorities facing large financial institutions.
. Demonstrated ability to connect client business challenges with technology, consulting, and operational solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
. Experience providing executive oversight of complex technology or consulting engagements, including responsibility for client satisfaction, delivery performance, financial performance, and risk management.
. Strong leadership skills with demonstrated experience building, mentoring, and developing high performing teams.
. Excellent executive communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
. Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed organization and bring together capabilities across consulting, technology, operations, industry practices, and global delivery teams.
. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
. Ability to travel as required to support client relationships, team collaboration, and business development activities.

Desired Qualifications
. Payments industry experience, including exposure to areas such as real time payments, ACH, wires, card payments, payment gateways, payment modernization, payment orchestration, or related payment technologies.
. Experience working with Corporate and Institutional Banking, Treasury Management, or Commercial Banking organizations.
. Experience leading or selling large scale transformation and modernization programs within a financial institution.
. Understanding of modern technology architectures, APIs, cloud platforms, data, intelligent automation, and AI and their application within financial services.
