The Director of Client Services is responsible for leading client management and retention efforts within their assigned region. This role is accountable for the overall success of the TPA block of business, including customer retention, revenue growth, and ensuring the delivery of Point C's service model.
The Director serves as the primary liaison between customers, TPA leadership, and Point C, providing consultative account management and driving strategic initiatives to support client satisfaction, operational alignment, and financial performance. In partnership with the Point C sales team, this role also contributes to business development efforts, broker engagement, and finalist presentations to grow the book of business. The Director collaborates closely with Operations and other internal teams to ensure consistent processes, effective issue resolution, and a high-quality client experience.
Primary Responsibilities:- Serve as the senior leader accountable for the overall success of the assigned TPA block of business.
- Lead a team of account managers, specialists, and coordinators.
- Provide team leadership through regular performance reviews, career development planning, and ongoing coaching to support individual growth and overall team success
- Manage capacity and workforce planning to align with expected growth, strategically assigning accounts and resources to optimize team efficiency and client coverage
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with key customers and partner stakeholders at all levels.
- Lead strategic initiatives that improve client satisfaction, retention, revenue growth, and profitability within the region.
- Provide oversight and consultative support for the delivery of Point C products, services, and project plans.
- Act as the primary liaison between customers, TPA leadership, and Point C corporate teams.
- Collaborate with Point C sales to develop and execute growth strategies; participate in broker meetings, capabilities presentations, and finalist meetings.
- Drive operational alignment, ensuring that internal teams deliver solutions that meet customer needs and TPA objectives.
- Monitor performance, address issues proactively, and deliver regular updates on results and action plans.
- Serve as a visible leader and champion for both Point C and the TPA partner in the region.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- 7-10 years of experience in the self-funded healthcare, insurance, or TPA industry
- Minimum 5 years of client management or related leadership experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- Strong project management skills with the ability to drive processes, meet deadlines, and lead diverse teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to convey information clearly and influence effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills; builds rapport, navigates complex relationships, and diffuses tension when needed
- High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness
- Resourceful, decisive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related technology platforms
- Experience working with brokers and/or benefits consultants
- Active state insurance license is preferred
Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Certain roles may be eligible for additional compensation, including bonuses, and merit increases. Additionally, certain roles have the opportunity to receive sales commissions that are based on the terms of the sales commission plan applicable to the role.
