Overview

We are seeking an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to support enterprise application delivery and endpoint security initiatives across Windows and macOS environments. This role is responsible for packaging, testing, and deploying applications and security updates while ensuring reliability, compliance, and seamless end-user experiences.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in application packaging, endpoint management platforms, and automation, along with the ability to respond quickly to critical security vulnerabilities, including high-priority and zero-day threats. This position partners closely with application owners, security teams, infrastructure engineers, and support teams to deliver secure, production-ready software deployments across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Package, test, and deploy Windows and macOS applications using enterprise endpoint management tools.
  • Develop and maintain application packages utilizing MSI, MSIX, App-V, and other deployment technologies.
  • Create, troubleshoot, and optimize PowerShell scripts to automate packaging, deployment, and remediation processes.
  • Support urgent security initiatives by rapidly packaging and deploying vendor updates, patches, and emergency fixes, including zero-day vulnerability responses.
  • Manage software deployments through Microsoft Intune, MECM/SCCM, Workspace ONE, or similar endpoint management platforms.
  • Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure timely remediation of High and Critical vulnerabilities.
  • Design and implement scalable packaging and deployment solutions that support enterprise performance, reliability, and operational standards.
  • Monitor deployment success rates, troubleshoot failures, and ensure compliance with established SLAs.
  • Develop and maintain deployment standards, policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Support change management processes and software release activities across the endpoint environment.
  • Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, automation opportunities, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Desktop Engineering, Endpoint Engineering, or Application Packaging.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), Microsoft Intune, Workspace ONE, or equivalent endpoint management platforms.
  • Strong experience packaging applications using MSI, MSIX, App-V, or related technologies.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting skills.
  • Experience managing software deployment and lifecycle activities within large enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), release management, and change control processes.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply emerging technologies, including AI-driven solutions, to improve operational outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience supporting financial services, healthcare, or other highly regulated environments.
  • Familiarity with Azure AD (Entra ID), endpoint security platforms, and vulnerability management tools.
  • Experience supporting virtual desktop environments such as Citrix or VMware Horizon.
  • Exposure to DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
  • Experience with operating system imaging and provisioning solutions, including Microsoft Autopilot and MDT.
