Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Privacy Operations Specialist to support and enhance our global data privacy program. This role will ensure that organizational practices align with applicable global privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.) while enabling responsible data use to drive business value.

The ideal candidate has good foundational knowledge of global data privacy laws, operational controls experience, familiarity with AI governance and responsible use, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally across legal, IT, cybersecurity, HR, data analytics, and business teams.

This role is located in Indianapolis, IN.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Strengthen the company's global data privacy program by supporting its design, implementation, and ongoing operational management.
  • Ensure accurate, up-to-date data inventories, data maps, and records of processing activities to enable transparency and regulatory compliance.
  • Establish and maintain a centralized data privacy contract repository, ensuring DPAs, DPAs addendums, and related documentation are properly tracked, reviewed, and current.
  • Support effective privacy incident response by maintaining detailed incident logs and enabling timely escalation, investigation, and documentation.
  • Manage and fulfill DSARs and other privacy rights requests efficiently, ensuring responses meet regulatory requirements and mandated timelines.
  • Serve as a responsive point of contact for internal and external data privacy inquiries, helping to drive consistent and informed privacy practices.
  • Develop and deliver clear, engaging privacy training and awareness materials that promote a strong culture of data protection across the organization.
  • Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inquiries by preparing documentation, evidence, and responses as needed.
  • Monitor evolving global privacy regulations and proactively communicate relevant updates to the Global Data Privacy and Legal teams to support informed decision-making.

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness across data privacy documentation, records, and processes.
  • Sound ethical judgment to handle sensitive data responsibly and uphold confidentiality and regulatory expectations.
  • Ability to apply risk-based decision-making to assess privacy issues, prioritize actions, and support compliant business outcomes.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills to collaborate with Legal, Privacy, and business partners and communicate clearly across functions.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to analyze issues, identify root causes, and develop practical, compliant solutions.


Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Business, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in data privacy, compliance, risk management, or related role.
  • Foundational knowledge of data privacy principles, frameworks, and regulations.

Experience:
  • Required:
    • Experience managing DSAR processes.
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally.
  • Preferred:
    • Privacy certifications such as CIPP (US/E, etc.), CIPM, CIPT, or equivalent.
    • Familiarity with privacy or GRC platforms (e.g., OneTrust).
    • Experience supporting compliance programs.
    • Knowledge of cloud environments and/or data lifecycle management.
