Description

Data Center Capacity Analyst:

The Capacity and Inventory Analyst will play a central role in helping CoreSite to achieve key objectives related to the Data Center Intelligence program. The Analyst will work with Product, Sales Engineering and General Management to develop and report against an ongoing set of dynamic initiatives. A self-starter, the Analyst will proactively identify new process improvement projects, coordinate with employees across departments, and see these initiatives through to completion. The candidate must have a strong finance and/or business operations background, accompanied by a demonstrated track record of systematic automation and efficiency.

What You'll Do:

Inventory Management and Reporting:
  • Manage space and power inventory records using inventory management software.
  • Maintain and standardize floor planning drawings, electrical, and mechanical schematics using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Prepare and analyze capacity and inventory dashboard reports for Product, Sales Engineering, and General Management teams.
  • Identify highly utilized electrical equipment, conduct research mitigation strategies and support cross functional team in mitigation tasks.

Business Process Improvement:
  • Collaborate with organizational leaders to establish and monitor performance against operational objectives.
  • Methodically implement business process improvements to enhance data accuracy and speed of information delivery.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization by analyzing data and presenting actionable recommendations.

Data Analysis and Insights:
  • Conduct research and analysis on space and power inventory to support Sales and Data Center Operations.
  • Analyze and present trends in customer metrics, order management tracking, and capacity utilization to inform business decisions.
  • Create ad hoc reports and provide value-added insights for various organizational needs.

Stakeholder Communication:
  • Present analysis results and research findings to cross-functional teams, including actionable insights to drive organizational improvements.
  • Support internal teams by providing data-driven recommendations to optimize operations and meet business goals.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit for creating and managing technical drawings.
  • Experience with inventory management software and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to data interpretation.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present findings to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Familiarity with data center operations or space/power inventory management is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reports and dashboards.

Education/Experience:
  • 4-year degree with a major in finance, business, or related field preferred
  • Coursework in Engineering is a plus
  • 3-5 Years of prior relevant work experience

Compensation: Compensation for this role includes a base salary between $96,000 and $113,200 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus and equity, based upon individual and company performance.
