What you'll be doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Digital and CX Technology team, the role is responsible for leading the functional design and development of application systems across all technologies and platforms. The Consultant, Full Stack Developer provides technical leadership to development, is responsible for technical design and development of applications using various technology platforms. This role performs tasks of technical depth and breadth, utilizing a solid understanding of business dynamics to conduct impact analysis and provide feedback on problems with recommended solutions.

To successfully perform the work, you’ll be on-site full-time.You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. 

How you'll succeed

  • Programming Skills- Develop code and test computer programs for straightforward assignments. Review, analyze, and modify programming systems, including encoding, testing, and debugging. 

  • Systems Implementation- Participate in the technical design, development, and integration of cross functional, multi-platform application systems.

  • Planning and Coordination- Effectively interact with team members, end users, business analysts, and technical resources to gather requirements and prepare design specifications as instructed by senior team members. 

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate 8 years experience in. Hands-on experience in full-stack development using Java and Angular. Backend in Advanced proficiency in Core Java, Spring Boot, and building RESTful APIs. Frontend strong expertise in Angular, React, JavaScript, with enterprise level of web experience. AI Mindset, an active appetite for learning. Demonstrated ability (or strong desire) to learn new AI concepts, use generative AI for code acceleration, and implement intelligent features. Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and database systems (SQL). Experience with cloud platforms (Azure) and microservices architecture and preferred development experience in .NET, C#.
