Eaton's IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Capacity and Demand Lead.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Responsible for managing production capacity across all production units in and external suppliers, ensuring consistency between medium-term planning data (SIOP) and short-term workload flows.

Ensures anticipation and planning of equipment capacity and workforce requirements over an 18-month horizon in line with production demand.

Plays a key role in aligning business objectives, market demand, and production capacity.
The position aims to optimize planning and coordination across the company's various functions to maximize operational efficiency and customer satisfaction

In this respect, the role will be responsible for
• Site Workforce deployment and investment planning over an 18-month horizon and for supporting the Profit Plan preparation process.
• Bring together various departments to achieve site quality objectives, maintaining strong collaboration with production teams.
• Serves as the primary interface with Sales for market and customer-related information.
• Collaborates with all company functions and leads SIOP meetings.
• Owns the SIOP process from forecast generation through capacity planning implementation.
• Provides analyses and reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Responsible for preparing and facilitating capacity review meetings.
• Plays a leading role in:
- Facilitating capacity review meetings.
- Collecting market information provided during the SIOP process.
- Driving all supply chain stakeholders (site managers, production managers, supply chain managers, planning managers, procurement managers, purchasing managers, buyers, HR, methods engineers, and quality managers) to ensure effective follow-up of action plans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

As Capacity and Demand Lead, within the Interconnect Business Unit this position will be responsible for the following:

Production
• Manage medium-term production capacity planning (18 months).
• Update monthly actual labor hours results.
• Verify that actual results comply with commitments and forecasts through adherence to the production plan.
• Analyze variances, define, communicate, and monitor action plans with production units and planning managers to ensure the best possible alignment between workload and capacity.
• Anticipate workload fluctuations and alert
• Monitor workforce requirements during periods of growth or downturn.
• Assist in coordinating workload balancing activities between different departments.
• Consolidate and analyze production hours as part of the budgeting process and the 5-year strategic plan.
Demand management
• Develop customer demand forecasts for all products through analysis of historical data, customer forecasts, product and market knowledge, and information provided by sales teams.
• Consolidate information from Demand Management process stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, and Planning).
• Lead the Demand Review meeting to validate assumptions for the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process

Continuous Improvement
• Continuously improve capacity management tools (workload flow, workforce planning, etc.) and, more broadly, company tools through advanced Excel and Access expertise.
• Improve the accuracy of capacity and actual production data.
• Enhance forecasting and anticipation capabilities.
• Participate in initiatives to improve performance indicators across production units (OTC, OTR, etc.).
• Support inventory reduction initiatives through management parameter optimization.
Management Parameters
• Monitor and update machining and plating batch sizes.
• Monitor and update machining and plating lead times.
SIOP
• Ensure the effective operation of the Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process by validating the proper execution of each process stage.
• Monitor actual performance against the previous SIOP plan and identify gaps between forecasts and actual results.
• Ensure the feasibility of the SIOP plan and its alignment with the budget.
• Analyze causes of variances and provide recommendations to improve forecast accuracy, capacity management, and customer satisfaction.
• Foster a shared understanding of the objectives and constraints of each function to support informed decision-making and optimize overall business performance.
• Prepare and facilitate the monthly Executive SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) meeting.
• Contribute to the optimization of the SIOP process by implementing best practices and monitoring performance indicators.
• Participating in Supply Chain optimization and digitalization projects

Qualifications:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of Supply Chain experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel) and ERP systems
• Strong industrial/manufacturing environment knowledge is mandatory.
• Experience in SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning).
• Expertise in demand forecasting and demand planning tools.
• Technical English proficiency.
• Advanced knowledge of IT tools: Excel, Access, SAP ERP, or MFG/PRO. #LI-MB2
