Full Job Description
As a Business Development Associate at Pagaya, you will be the engine driving our top-of-funnel growth. You will identify, map, and engage senior executives (C-Suite, VPs of Lending, and Heads of Risk) across financial institutions, personal loan originators, and fintech companies. Your primary goal is to book highly qualified introductory meetings for our Commercial and Partnerships Directors.
Core Responsibilities
• Strategic Prospecting: Research and identify high-value target financial institutions, automotive lenders, and fintech innovators matching Pagaya's ideal client profile.
• Multi-Channel Outreach: Execute structured outreach campaigns using cold calling, high-touch personalized emails, professional network sourcing, and other tools. Turn this outreach and data into client key decision-maker maps-identifying who we need to know and the ultimate person who needs to say yes.
• Consultative Value Selling: Articulate Pagaya's complex AI capabilities and credit ecosystem benefits clearly to executive decision-makers. Answer the problem we are solving for each of our prospects, why PGY has a right to win, and turn those insights into materials the sales leads can leverage.
• Lead Qualification: Conduct early discovery calls to evaluate a prospect's current credit challenges, originations volume, and technical capabilities.
• Pipeline Management: Maintain meticulous, up-to-date data quality in Salesforce to track account interactions, objections, and follow-up metrics.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with Growth, Partners, and Product Leads teams to convert inbound interest and optimize outbound sales playbooks.
Qualifications
• Experience: 1-3 years of sales experience, preferably in FinTech, B2B SaaS, or financial services.
• Communication Powerhouse: Flawless written and verbal communication skills. You must feel comfortable holding peer-to-peer conversations with corporate financial executives.
• Fintech Mindset: You are AI-fluent with consumer credit markets, banking systems, or financial models.
• Tech Stack Savvy: Experience using CRM and prospecting tools like Salesforce, ZoomInfo, or Salesloft is highly preferred.
• Resilience & Grit: A self-motivated builder who views "no" as data rather than failure, thriving in a high-activity, hyper-growth environment.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
