Business Analyst to support the analysis, documentation, and implementation of enterprise software solutions in a secure, cloud-hosted environment. The Business Analyst will work closely with government stakeholders, product owners, engineers, and data teams to translate mission and operational needs into clear, actionable requirements for Agile development teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements for enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand mission needs, workflows, and data requirements.
- Develop and maintain artifacts such as user stories, use cases, process flows, data mappings, and acceptance criteria.
- Support Agile teams by refining backlog items, participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders to ensure shared understanding.
- Support data governance, integration, and reporting requirements, including structured and unstructured data sources.
- Assist with validation and verification activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Contribute to system documentation, training materials, and change management efforts.
- Ensure requirements align with security, compliance, and operational constraints.
REQUIRED SKILLS:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting IT or software development projects.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid Agile environments.
- Strong skills in requirements elicitation, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and user stories.
- Familiarity with cloud-based systems and web application architectures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED SKILLS:- Experience supporting government or DoD programs.
- Familiarity with secure or regulated environments (e.g., IL5/IL6).
- Knowledge of data governance, data integration, or BI/reporting solutions.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar requirements management platforms.
- Understanding of REST APIs, data models, and system interfaces.
- Certifications such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile BA certifications.
