Job Summary

Aretum is seeking Business Analyst who conducts pre-payment audits of travel vouchers, tracks audit findings, and provides reporting to ensure compliance with travel policies and financial regulations. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, along with experience in financial auditing and government travel management systems.

Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute financial audits supporting TSA Travel Services utilizing SAP Concur, Citi Manager, or other government-designated travel management system, as well as general accounting and financial management principles, applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
  • Audit all travel vouchers that meet TSA's pre-payment audit criteria. Maintain a database of identified travel voucher issues to track the types of issues, the offices, traveler, document approvers, etc.
  • Maintain electronic records of audit inquiries and communications.
  • Provide weekly and monthly status reports of work accomplished, including providing insights into trends and recommendations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 4-7 years' experience.
  • Strong mathematical skills.
  • Strong written and interpersonal communications skills to support interactions with a broad range of clients throughout TSA as well as the remote contract peers.
  • Ability to manage evolving work priorities, leveraging personal organization and time management skills to ensure all work is completed based on program and client timelines.
  • Proficient in data collection and analysis.


Preferred
  • Experience in government finance, audit, and policy initiatives.
  • Experience in TSA or governmental travel policy management or execution.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and adult training activities.


Travel Requirements

This is a hybrid position, with work performed both remotely and at designated client or corporate locations, as needed. Travel requirements may vary depending on project assignments, client meetings, or internal collaboration and will be communicated in advance whenever possible.

U.S. Work Authorization

Due to federal contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this position. This position supports a federal government contract and requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability Determination, depending on the agency's background investigation requirements.
