Full Job Description
The role

This seat joins a dedicated 22-person team delivering a multicloud managed service - AWS, Azure and Google Cloud across roughly 155 cloud accounts - to a major automotive enterprise client and its business units. This seat decides what "good" looks like across the estate and then proves whether the business units meet it. Half the role is governance - standards, a compliance floor and the measurement behind it. The other half is FinOps - understanding the cloud bill, allocating it correctly and handing each business unit a bill it can act on. It works in lockstep with Megazone HQ governance in Korea.

What you will do
  • Work with client business units and HQ to establish what is required from a governance and standards standpoint, and turn it into a written compliance floor.
  • Operate and report against that floor: tagging standards, account hygiene, policy compliance, exceptions and periodic governance reviews.
  • Align US governance with Megazone HQ ICT Governance so there is one standard, not two.
  • Own FinOps: cost allocation, showback and chargeback, building the bills handed down to each business unit, and explaining variances.
  • Drive savings - rightsizing, commitment coverage (Savings Plans, Reserved Instances), waste elimination - and report realised savings.
  • Produce and present the monthly and quarterly governance and cost reporting pack.
  • Support the April 2027 Irvine IDC cutover from a governance and cost-model standpoint.

What we need - must have
  • 7+ years in cloud infrastructure or cloud financial management, including 3+ years owning governance, standards or FinOps on AWS at enterprise scale.
  • Hands-on with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, Config, SCPs, tagging strategy and policy-as-code approaches.
  • Real FinOps depth: Cost Explorer, CUR data, chargeback and showback models, commitment planning, reporting for non-technical business owners.
  • Able to produce and defend reporting to senior stakeholders - this seat is measured on what it can evidence.
  • Professional working fluency in Korean and English.
  • Able to work onsite in Irvine, CA.

Nice to have

FinOps Certified Practitioner • AWS Solutions Architect Professional • Multicloud cost management (Azure, GCP) • Chargeback across affiliated business units • SQL / QuickSight / Power BI • SOC 2 or internal audit exposure

Working pattern - please read before applying
  • Core hours are standard US Pacific business hours, onsite in Irvine.
  • Frequent early-morning or evening alignment calls with HQ governance in Korea - higher than average for this seat (KST is 16 hours ahead of Pacific).
  • Month-end and quarter-end cost cycles create predictable workload peaks.

Standard terms

Onsite at the client site in Irvine, CA - this is a contractual commitment and the seat is not available remotely. Must be authorized to work in the US (sponsorship to be confirmed by Megazone US HR), able to pass client background screening, and able to work within our SOC 2 control environment. Work is delivered through a documented ITIL-style process - tickets, change control, runbooks, post-incident reviews - and most of the delivery record is written and read by the client.
