Position summary : Associate Director, US IT

Reporting to the Senior Director, Head of IT, this individual will be responsible for IT activities in the United States with presence at the NYC office in coordination with IT HQ in Lund, Sweden.

This position will be hybrid and based in Hansa's NYC office and requires regular on-site presence, once the NYC office (Manhattan) is established.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Support the Senior Director IT in developing and executing the organization's IT strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including infrastructure, applications, and end-user services, to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Support cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, service providers, and consultants.
  • Ensure IT systems and processes comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Regulatory compliance (FDA, EMA) to ensure audit/inspection readiness.
  • Provide second line IT support for US employees.
  • Oversee physical access control in the NYC office


Education and experience requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Management or equivalent with 12 years of progressive IT experience
  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Management or equivalent with 10 years of progressive IT experience
  • Life science/ Pharma experience desired
  • Competence in the following IT systems:
    • M365
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Intune
    • AI tools
    • Project Management

Estimated salary range for this role is $180,000 - $215,000 annually. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications, skills and experience of the individual applicant, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the geographic location of the individual.The actual base salary offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/ or long-term incentives, as well as participation in medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, company holidays and well-being benefits.
