Job overview:

The Associate Director, Market and Patient Access Training will play a critical role in preparing and enabling Compass Pathways' field-facing teams for the successful launch and commercialization of COMP360 and future therapies. This leader will be responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive Market Access and Patient Access Liaison Training strategy that ensures field stakeholders are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to engage effectively with healthcare providers across complex treatment settings.

This role will lead the development of training content, field readiness programs, launch and national meeting training plans, and ongoing capability development as the organization grows. The Associate Director will work closely with Patient Engagement, Commercial Operations, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales Leadership, and external partners to deliver integrated, compliant, and high-impact training experiences.

A strong understanding of interventional psychiatry, including treatment models, site-of-care dynamics, and referral pathways, is a significant advantage for this role.

Location: Hybrid in our New York City office or remote on the East Coast in the United States.

Reports to:Director, Commercial Training.

Roles and responsibilities(Include but are not limited to):
  • Develop and execute Market Access and Patient Access Liaison Training strategy to support pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases for COMP360 and future assets
  • Strategically collaborate with field-facing stakeholders including Market Access, Patient Access Liaisons, Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), and other customer-facing roles
  • Design and deliver launch training programs including onboarding curricula, national and regional meeting training content, and ongoing reinforcement plans for Market Access and Patient Access Liaisons
  • Own the creation of role-specific capability development, training content, and curricula for Market Access and Patient Access Liaisons. Ensure alignment with product related content including disease state, product, customer engagement, and compliance
  • Partner with Marketing and Medical Affairs to ensure training content is accurate, aligned, and compliant with regulatory and promotional guidelines
  • Develop sufficient competency with complex scientific, clinical, and operational concepts and translate them into clear, actionable training materials for diverse field roles
  • Support the building of scalable training infrastructure including learning pathways, certification programs, and onboarding frameworks
  • Collaborate with the Director, Commercial Training and Commercial Operations and Analytics to define training effectiveness metrics
  • Manage external vendors, training platforms, and budgets
  • Actively contribute to departmental priorities including instructional design, platform management, and coordination of training events and initiatives

Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Life Sciences, Education, or related field
  • 3-4+ years of experience in Market Access and/or Patient Liaison Training within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to or leading launch training for specialty or complex therapies
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical commercial models including sales, medical, market access, and patient support roles
  • Experience with interventional or specialty psychiatry products is a significant plus
  • Familiarity with TRD, referral-based care models, and site-of-care dynamics strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing vendors and learning platforms (e.g., LMS)


Compensation Description (annually):

Our compensation package for permanent hires includes base salary, discretionary bonus, and equity, alongside our comprehensive benefits offering.

Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.

$185,000-$210,000 USD
