Job Duties and Responsibilities

EchoStar seeks an Associate Corporate Counsel to join its dynamic legal department in Littleton, Colorado, supporting commercial transactions across wireless services, telecommunications infrastructure, enterprise solutions, and regulated industries. The Associate Corporate Counsel resolves complex legal and commercial issues involving roaming, transport, network infrastructure, and enterprise partner relationships while providing concise, practical guidance to business teams. This role mitigates legal risks, supports strategic commercial initiatives, and enhances internal legal contracting processes to balance regulatory, operational, and organizational goals.

What Success Looks Like (Objectives):
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements to enable wireless, enterprise, and infrastructure initiatives
  • Support critical transactions involving transport, network infrastructure, data centers, and backhaul agreements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve issues regarding telecommunications compliance, privacy, data security, and service commitments
  • Deliver concise, business-oriented guidance on contract interpretation, commercial risk, and dispute avoidance
  • Optimize legal contracting efficiency through the maintenance of playbooks, templates, policies, and procedures
  • Leverage legal AI application tools to streamline contract review, template creation, and risk analysis workflows

Additional Qualifications:
  • Prior in-house legal department experience
  • Experience in the wireless, telecommunications, infrastructure, technology, enterprise services, or regulated-industries sectors
  • Familiarity with roaming, interconnection, transport, fiber, data center, colocation, managed services, or network infrastructure agreements


Minimum Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree or international equivalent, with an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. state and the ability to meet Colorado admission requirements
  • 1 to 4 years of legal experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department, focusing on commercial transactions
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience with:
    • Commercial, technology, or telecommunications agreement drafting and negotiation
    • Assessing legal risk within enterprise customer, vendor, or intercarrier arrangements
    • Cross-functional collaboration with business, technical, and operational teams

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $116,875.00/Year - $158,125.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
