Position SummaryThe Associate Legal Counsel is responsible for negotiating and drafting agreements between Ryan entities and their trading partners, conducting legal research on contract terms and principles of contract interpretation and providing valuable insights to business leaders to support the resolution of various issues. The role involves building productive relationships, contributing to the resolution of legal matters, and ensuring compliance with legal regulations and the Company's market security protocols. Associate Legal Counsel will apply company policies and procedures to agreements with trading partners, collaborate with experienced team professionals, and continuously develop expertise in the field of open brokerage and binding authority agreements, including Delegated Underwriting Authority agreements with Lloyd's of London.
What will your job entail?Job Responsibilities:- Negotiate and draft agreements and amendments, and other legal documents.
- Offer accurate and timely legal advice to executives on various topics relating to agreements between Ryan entities and their trading partners.
- Ensure compliance with the Company's market security protocols.
- Provide advice to business units on contract terms.
- Research and evaluate risk factors related to business decisions and operations.
- Apply effective risk management techniques and proactively advise on potential legal issues.
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties.
- Handle complex matters involving multiple stakeholders and forces.
Work Experience and Education: • Law degree with 2 years of related experience; or equivalent work experience • License to practice law in at least one state.

The target salary range for this position is $102,400.00 - $128,000.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
