The Role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Regulatory Trade Reporting team within Global Wholesale Operations. In this role, you will support the delivery of a robust and effective regulatory reporting control environment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

You'll play a key role in monitoring reporting processes, investigating exceptions, and partnering with stakeholders to enhance controls and drive continuous improvement.

  • Execute daily and periodic controls to monitor regulatory trade reporting accuracy and completeness
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve reporting exceptions to mitigate regulatory and operational risk
  • Ensure compliance with global regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., CFTC, SEC, ESMA, FCA, CIRO, MIFID II, SFTR, etc.)
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Technology, Compliance, Internal Controls, Trade Repositories) to address and remediate reporting issues
  • Stay current on regulatory requirements and reporting logic across jurisdictions
  • Support the implementation of regulatory changes and enhancements to reporting and control frameworks
  • Contribute to change initiatives, ensuring appropriate controls, metrics, and KPIs/KRIs are in place
  • Assist with internal audits, regulatory reviews, and ad hoc management requests
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and reporting efficiency (including automation initiatives)
  • Maintain and update policies and procedures related to regulatory reporting controls
  • Operate in line with the Bank's risk appetite, compliance standards, and control framework
  • Contribute to a high-performing, collaborative, and inclusive team environment


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
  • Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Experience in regulatory reporting, operations, capital markets, compliance, or risk within a financial institution
  • Understanding of the derivatives trade lifecycle (front-to-back flows, trade capture, lifecycle events, and reporting obligations)
  • Hands-on experience with control and reconciliation processes (e.g., exception management, data validation, trade population completeness checks)
  • Knowledge of regulatory trade reporting frameworks and requirements across major jurisdictions
  • Experience analyzing and interpreting regulatory requirements and reporting logic
  • Exposure to investigating reporting breaks/issues and implementing remediation actions
  • Experience working with large data sets and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL or similar tools)
  • Familiarity with change management and regulatory initiatives, including implementation of process or system enhancements
  • Understanding of internal controls, audit processes, and regulatory expectations within a banking environment


Nice to Have
  • Direct experience with specific regulatory regimes such as CFTC, SEC, EMIR/ESMA, FCA, MIFID II, SFTR, CIRO/IIROC, CAT/CAIS
  • Prior experience in Regulatory Trade Reporting within Capital Markets or GWO environments
  • Exposure to trade repositories and reporting platforms
  • Experience supporting regulatory audits, internal audits, or compliance reviews
  • Knowledge of automation tools or process improvement methodologies (e.g., VBA, Python, Alteryx, Power BI)
  • Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or related financial/risk designations
