What you’ll be doing

The Institutional Asset Management team works closely with institutional investors in building investment solutions to help clients achieve their goals and objectives. As an Analyst/Associate, Institutional Client Experience, you will serve as a member of our dynamic and high-performing client facing team working in collaboration with the Institutional Asset Management team in the delivery of customized client solutions. You’ll be responsible for the management and completion of proposals.

The expected annualized base salary range for this $75,870 to $104,320.

The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs.

Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.

In addition to base pay, compensation for this role includes participation in an annual discretionary incentive or bonus program.

How you’ll succeed

  • Investment Management Proposals – Under the supervision of Director, Institutional Client Experience, contribute to the client solutioning process in completing customized Request for Proposals (RFPs), Request for Information (RFIs), and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs). The expectations are characterized as followed: Determine requirements for successful proposal submission. Coordinate proposal huddles to determine deliverables and deadlines as required and keep all stakeholders accountable with their assigned deliverables. Populate, write, proofread, edit and format proposal content; this may include adapting existing content, boilerplates (in consultation with leadership) to ensure a cohesive proposal. Ensure each proposal submission is submitted within the established deadline. Plan follow ups, review sessions, and work with assigned leader to successfully complete proposals. Collaborate with Institutional Asset Management team on complex proposals to determine strategy
  • Database Content Maintenance – Under the supervision of Director, Institutional Client Experience, update qualitative content, and review quantitative content in the global investment management databases (e.g, eVestment); assist in maintaining proposal resources including database of supporting material such as boilerplate content, executive summaries, and asset descriptions.
  • Responsible for completing client deliverables – Under the supervision of Director, Institutional Client Experience, you’re responsible for the completion of client deliverables efficiently and working to ensure service standards, policies and procedures are consistently and effectively applied. These deliverables include: re-occurring and ad-hoc client requests,  compliance and due diligence Questionnaires from clients and ad-hoc client support.
  • Continuous Improvement Spirit – Work in collaboration with institutional team on ad-hoc continuous improvement projects, including operational and technological business improvement initiatives to achieve efficiencies and improve the overall client experience.
  • Asset class knowledge – Work alongside Client Portfolio Managers to support the creation of asset class materials for the institutional client audience, including client presentations, pitchbooks, commentaries, and other ad-hoc projects for clients and prospective clients.
  • Cross-functional relationships – This role will require communication with external consultants, clients and prospective clients for the purposes of responding to specific information requests. This role will also participate client/consultant/prospective client meetings. On a regular and ongoing basis, this position interacts with all functional areas of the firm.

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance and/or Data Science. Your enrollment in or achievement of the CFA or CIM designations is preferred. You have demonstrated strong interests in markets and investment management
  • You can demonstrate your experience and a good knowledge of traditional and alternative investment solutions . You have at least 2-3 years of investment industry experience, with exposure to all major asset classes. You have good understanding of most asset classes and different types of institutional clients. You are bilingual. In addition to having strong communication skills in English, fluency in French is an asset (but not a requirement). Dedication to Excellence.
