The Role:

The Workday HRIS Manager is responsible for owning and optimizing Cart.com’s Workday platform, ensuring it effectively supports People Operations processes, data integrity, and business needs at scale. This role sits at the intersection of HR, IT, Payroll, Legal and Finance, driving system improvements, process automation, and reporting capabilities across the employee lifecycle.

As a highly hands-on individual contributor, you will manage Workday configuration, workflows, reporting, and data governance, while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience. This role is critical to ensuring People systems are scalable, reliable, and aligned to business growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Own day-to-day administration and ongoing optimization of Workday (HCM, Benefits, US Payroll, and more)
  • Configure and maintain workflows, security roles, organizational structures, and business processes – such as employee reviews, goal setting, etc.
  • Partner with People Ops, Payroll, Finance, Legal and IT to support system needs and cross-functional processes
  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards to support People insights and operational needs
  • Ensure data integrity and governance, including audits, validations, and cleanup initiatives
  • Troubleshoot system issues and manage enhancements, releases, and updates
  • Document system processes, standards, and configurations
  • Identify and implement automation and process improvements to reduce manual work
  • Support integrations with external systems (payroll, benefits, etc.)
  • Partner on audit readiness and compliance requirements related to HR systems

What You’ve Done:

  • 4–7 years of experience in Workday administration
  • Hands-on experience with Workday configuration (business processes, security, reporting, EIB loads and integration support)
  • Experience supporting HR, Payroll, or People Ops processes through systems
  • Strong understanding of data structures, reporting, and system workflows
  • Experience working cross-functionally with HR, IT, Finance, and Payroll teams
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
