Workday Lead (HCM Program Manager)
Location: Remote (Canada – Ontario) or San Jose, Costa Rica

About the Role

We’re looking for a Workday HCM Program Manager to help shape the future of our global HR technology ecosystem. This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with an assigned client group, understand their priorities, and translate business needs into scalable solutions that improve the co-worker experience and strengthen how we deliver HR services. In this role, you’ll partner closely with HR, business, and technology stakeholders to drive practical solutions, optimize processes, and support the continued evolution of Workday as a core platform for our global organization.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as the lead for an assigned client group, building strong relationships and becoming a trusted partner in understanding business needs, pain points, and opportunities.

  • Translate stakeholder requirements into effective Workday configuration, reporting, dashboards, and process solutions that are scalable, sustainable, and aligned to business goals.

  • Lead and support end-to-end Workday initiatives, including enhancements, implementations, integrations, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Finance, IT, and third-party vendors to deliver solutions that improve efficiency, strengthen data integrity, and enhance the user experience.

  • Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual workarounds, and increase adoption of Workday self-service capabilities.

  • Facilitate requirements sessions, design workshops, user acceptance testing, change readiness activities, and stakeholder communications.

  • Monitor Workday releases, product updates, and HR technology trends; recommend opportunities to adopt new functionality that supports our future technology roadmap.

  • Create and maintain job aids, training materials, and knowledge-sharing resources to support successful adoption.

What We're Looking For

Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Workday certifications are preferred, especially in Core HCM, Benefits, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Absence, Advanced Compensation, Reporting, Integrations, or Talent.

Experience
  • 5–8 years of hands-on Workday implementation, configuration, optimization, and support experience in a consulting or in-house HRIS environment.

  • Experience partnering directly with a client group, HR function, or business stakeholder team to gather requirements and deliver technology-enabled solutions.

  • Proven ability to deliver Workday projects, enhancements, and process improvements on time while balancing multiple priorities.

Skills & Competencies
  • Strong functional knowledge of Workday HCM and related modules such as Benefits, Recruiting, Time Tracking, Absence, Compensation, Security, Reporting, and Integrations.

  • Ability to think strategically while staying close to the details needed to design, test, and deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, advise, and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify technical concepts and create clear documentation.

  • Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.

  • Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality, compliance, data integrity, and sound HR technology governance.

  • Ideal candidate is available to work West Coast-aligned business hours to support the assigned client group and key stakeholders.

Annual compensation offered will be based on several variables including geographic location, work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.   

  • Hiring Salary Range $100,000 - 105,000 CAD

  • Agir à titre de responsable principal(e) pour un groupe client attitré en établissant des relations solides et en devenant un partenaire de confiance pour comprendre les besoins d’affaires, les enjeux et les occasions d’amélioration.

  • Traduire les exigences des parties prenantes en configurations Workday efficaces, rapports, tableaux de bord et solutions de processus évolutifs, durables et alignés sur les objectifs d’affaires.

  • Diriger et soutenir les initiatives Workday de bout en bout, y compris les améliorations, les implantations, les intégrations, les essais, les déploiements et le soutien après la mise en production.

  • Collaborer avec les équipes des ressources humaines, de la paie, de l’acquisition de talents, des finances, des TI et avec des fournisseurs externes afin de livrer des solutions qui améliorent l’efficacité, renforcent l’intégrité des données et optimisent l’expérience utilisateur.

  • Repérer les occasions de simplifier les flux de travail, de réduire les solutions de contournement manuelles et d’accroître l’adoption des fonctionnalités libre-service de Workday.

  • Animer des ateliers de collecte des besoins, des ateliers de conception, des essais d’acceptation des utilisateurs, des activités de préparation au changement ainsi que les communications avec les parties prenantes.

  • Assurer une veille des nouvelles versions de Workday, des mises à jour de produits et des tendances en technologies RH; recommander l’adoption de nouvelles fonctionnalités soutenant notre feuille de route technologique.

  • Créer et maintenir des guides de référence, du matériel de formation et des ressources de partage des connaissances favorisant une adoption réussie.



Ce que nous recherchons

Formation et certifications
  • Baccalauréat en systèmes d’information, en ressources humaines, en administration des affaires ou dans un domaine connexe, ou expérience professionnelle équivalente.

  • Les certifications Workday sont fortement souhaitées, particulièrement dans les domaines suivants : Core HCM, Avantages sociaux, Recrutement, Gestion du temps, Gestion des absences, Rémunération avancée, Rapports, Intégrations ou Gestion des talents.


Expérience
  • De 5 à 8 ans d’expérience pratique en implantation, configuration, optimisation et soutien de Workday dans un environnement de consultation ou de SIRH interne.

  • Expérience de collaboration directe avec un groupe client, une fonction RH ou une équipe de parties prenantes d’affaires afin de recueillir les besoins et de fournir des solutions technologiques.

  • Capacité démontrée à livrer des projets Workday, des améliorations et des initiatives d’optimisation des processus dans les délais impartis tout en gérant plusieurs priorités simultanément.

Rémunération

La rémunération annuelle offerte sera établie en fonction de plusieurs facteurs, notamment la localisation géographique, l’expérience professionnelle, la formation ainsi que les compétences et réalisations du candidat. Elle sera déterminée d’un commun accord au moment de l’offre.
