Your day as a Wines & Spirits Category ManagerAs the Full-Time Wines & Spirits Category Manager at Lunds & Byerlys, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and achieving category goals and operational objectives within a dynamic grocery environment. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with category teams to set annual and quarterly business objectives while effectively communicating these to location leadership. You will lead the strategic vision for your assigned product areas, incorporating consumer trends and competitive developments to enhance profitability and customer experience. By analyzing financial and syndicated data, you will identify trends and optimize product assortments while ensuring pricing integrity.
Additionally, you will foster strong partnerships with vendor partners and cross-functional teams to drive innovation and execute successful category campaigns. Through coaching and training store teams, you will enhance product knowledge and upselling skills, ultimately contributing to the growth and excellence of Lunds & Byerlys as a customer-centric organization.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Education
- Bachelor's degree in business, food services or equivalent
- Experience
- Three or more years' retail and category management experience in the wines and spirits category+
- Demonstrated ability to create merchandising plans grounded in commonly adopted merchandising theory and best practices
- Understanding of the retail category development process and how it relates to achieving objectives.
- Proficient with syndicated data and consumer panel information - Nielsen RWS & Spins Data preferred. Multiple go to market system knowledge preferred.
