About the Role

We're looking for a strategic leader to join our team as VP, Total Rewards. In this role, you will define and execute the organization's global total rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits, payroll, HRIS, and mobility programs. You will ensure alignment with business objectives, drive competitive and equitable rewards practices, and enable the attraction, retention, and engagement of top talent. You will lead enterprise-wide programs with significant financial, operational, and cultural impact.

What You'll Do
  • Develop and execute a global Total Rewards strategy that supports the organization's business objectives, talent strategy, and culture
  • Lead the evolution of the organization's compensation philosophy, rewards framework, and employee value proposition to attract, retain, and motivate talent globally
  • Advise the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Directors' Compensation Committee on executive and broad-based compensation strategy, emerging market trends, governance practices, and compensation risk
  • Oversee the design and governance of employee and executive compensation, including salary and short-term and long-term incentive plans
  • Lead the global benefits and wellness strategy, including vendor selection and cost optimization
  • Provide executive oversight of global payroll operations, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll across all jurisdictions
  • Provide strategic oversight of HR technology platforms, including Workday, ensuring systems effectively support Total Rewards, payroll, reporting, compliance, and employee experience
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment, tax, securities, compensation disclosure, pension, pay equity, privacy, and payroll legislation across all operating jurisdictions
  • Develop and manage Total Rewards budgets while optimizing program effectiveness and financial outcomes
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Total Rewards leadership team


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field required
  • 12-15+ years of progressive HR experience, including 8-10+ years in Total Rewards leadership
  • 8+ years of people leadership experience
  • Experience in global, complex organizations
  • Experience with HRIS platforms, such as Workday
  • Operates in a highly complex global environment and sets long-term strategic direction for Total Rewards


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree preferred
  • CCP certification preferred
  • CBP certification preferred
  • CEBS certification preferred
  • Develops innovative rewards solutions and solves complex business challenges
  • High autonomy in setting strategy and policies


Location: Toronto, ON

Compensation

This position offers a competitive executive compensation package. The base salary will be determined based on several factors, including the successful candidate's qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience, internal pay equity, relevant market data, and the geographic location where the work is performed. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in annual incentive programs, including bonuses, commissions, or other incentive compensation, as applicable to the role.
