About This JobThe Vice President, Relationship Manager - Industrial is responsible for originating, developing, and managing strategic vendor finance relationships within the industrial equipment sector. This role serves as a senior business development leader focused on driving portfolio growth through partnerships with manufacturers, distributors, dealers, and value-added resellers. The VP will structure and deliver financing solutions that support vendor sales objectives while achieving Verdant Commercial Capital's production, profitability, and risk management goals.
Responsibilities:- Develop and execute business development strategies to expand Verdant's presence within the industrial equipment market
- Establish, cultivate, and manage relationships with OEMs, manufacturers, distributors, dealers, and strategic referral partners
- Originate new vendor finance programs and drive production growth within the assigned vertical
- Structure financing solutions including leases, loans, and other commercial finance products to support customer and vendor objectives
- Negotiate program terms, pricing structures, and partnership agreements in collaboration with Credit and Capital Markets
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for key vendor accounts and strategic partnerships
- Identify and pursue opportunities to increase market share, transaction volume, and portfolio profitability
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular forecasting and production reporting
- Partner with Credit, Operations, Accounting, Legal, and Servicing teams to ensure efficient transaction execution and superior client service
- Monitor portfolio performance, industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging risks within the industrial sector
- Represent Verdant at industry conferences, trade associations, and customer events
- Contribute to strategic initiatives, product development, and continuous process improvement efforts
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; equivalent industry experience may be considered
- 7+ years of experience in equipment finance, vendor finance, commercial lending, leasing, or specialty finance
- Demonstrated success originating and managing large vendor relationships and financing programs
- Strong understanding of industrial equipment markets and associated financing structures
- Proven ability to source, negotiate, and close complex commercial finance transactions
- Strong financial analysis, credit, and transaction structuring skills
- Excellent business development, sales, negotiation, and relationship management capabilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across a matrixed organization
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office applications, and pipeline management tools
