Job Description:
We are looking for a strategic and collaborative executive to shape and deliver the enterprise Risk Data Strategy. As Vice President, Risk Data Strategy and Transformation, you will lead the roadmap, governance, quality, architecture, and lifecycle management of Risk data products and platforms, building capabilities that strengthen risk management, regulatory compliance, analytics, reporting, and decision-making.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Risk Transformation and Enablement, you will work across Risk Management and with enterprise partners to modernize data capabilities, strengthen governance, and enable scalable, transparent, and resilient solutions. This is an opportunity to influence enterprise priorities and advance data-informed decision-making in a highly regulated environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Set the enterprise Risk Data Strategy, target-state capabilities, investment priorities, and multi-year roadmap.
- Lead the governance and lifecycle management of Risk data products and platforms, including ownership, quality, lineage, standards, and controls.
- Shape the evolution of Risk data architecture and integration strategies to support scalable, transparent, and resilient capabilities.
- Translate Risk priorities into practical roadmaps, including the technology, data, governance, and implementation considerations required for delivery.
- Lead portfolio planning and prioritization for Risk data initiatives, balancing strategic value, capacity, dependencies, regulatory expectations, and risk.
- Oversee the funding, delivery, benefits tracking, and value realization of Risk data products and initiatives.
- Establish governance and reporting that give senior leaders clear visibility into progress, outcomes, risks, issues, and decisions.
- Advance data modernization by applying emerging technologies, industry trends, and leading practices where they add value.
- Anticipate and manage delivery risks, resolve obstacles, and bring forward timely recommendations and trade-offs.
- Build strong partnerships across Risk, Technology, Enterprise Data and Analytics, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, and other shared-service teams.
- Lead with empathy and transparency, creating an environment where colleagues feel heard, supported, and confident navigating change.
- Develop an inclusive, high-performing environment where different perspectives are valued and teams are empowered to deliver.
Key Partnerships
- Risk Management leaders and teams across all Risk pillars.
- Enterprise partners across Risk Technology, Enterprise Data and Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Governance and Control, and shared services.
- Senior executives, governance forums, and program sponsors responsible for strategic prioritization and decision-making.
- Product, platform, architecture, and delivery teams responsible for building and sustaining Risk data capabilities.
What You Bring
- Significant leadership experience in one or more of the following areas: data strategy, data management, data products, technology, analytics, transformation, or risk management.
- Experience leading complex, enterprise-scale data initiatives and operating model change in a matrixed organization.
- A track record of translating strategy into clear priorities, practical roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
- Strong judgment and the ability to influence, challenge constructively, and build alignment with senior leaders and cross-functional partners.
- Experience with data governance, data quality, architecture, data products, platform operating models, portfolio planning, or benefits tracking.
- Experience with data technology and product management across major platforms and tools. Familiarity with Rahona, Technology Asset Platform, Databricks, Power BI, or comparable technologies is an asset.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, competing priorities, and regulatory or operational pressure while maintaining momentum.

- Demonstrated emotional intelligence and executive presence, with the ability to listen with curiosity, build trust, navigate sensitive conversations, and bring diverse stakeholders together through complex change.
- A post-secondary degree or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience. Advanced education or professional credentials may be an asset but are not required.
