*Starting from $190,000.00 - $210,000.00 annually plus additional incentives*
The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a performance bonus and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Pay is based on location, experience, and qualifications etc.
Position Summary
The Vice President of Procurement is responsible for leading the strategic sourcing, purchasing, contract management, and supply chain functions across the hospitality portfolio. This role develops procurement strategies that drive cost savings, operational efficiency, quality standards, brand consistency, and supplier performance while supporting hotel operations, food & beverage, capital projects, and corporate initiatives.
The VP of Procurement partners closely with Operations, Finance, Culinary, Design & Construction, IT, and Property Leadership teams to ensure procurement practices align with company goals, guest experience standards, and financial objectives.
This position reports to the COO and has a team of dedicated and shared resources.
Essential Functions
Strategic Procurement Leadership
Develop and execute enterprise-wide procurement and sourcing strategies for hotels, resorts, restaurants, spas, and corporate operations.
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to optimize total cost of ownership while maintaining quality and service standards.
Establish procurement policies, controls, and best practices across the organization.
Build long-term supplier partnerships and negotiate national/vendor agreements.
Contract Negotiation & Vendor Management
Negotiate contracts for:
FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment)
Operating supplies and equipment (OS&E)
Food & beverage and distributions
Property technology systems
Services and maintenance agreements
Key engineering agreements for varying capital projects
Monitor supplier performance, pricing compliance, service levels, and risk exposure.
Develop vendor scorecards and performance review processes.
Manage RFP and bid processes for major initiatives.
Financial & Cost Management
Deliver annual cost savings and procurement efficiency targets.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning processes.
Analyze spend data and identify sourcing opportunities across the portfolio.
Improve purchasing compliance and reduce off compliance spend.
Collaborate with Finance on working capital and payment term strategies.
Operational Partnership
Partner with hotel General Managers and SVPs to ensure procurement supports operational needs and guest satisfaction.
Support openings, renovations, brand conversions, and property transitions.
Standardize purchasing programs while allowing operational flexibility where needed based on property or customer requirements.
Ensure continuity of supply and mitigate operational disruptions.
Supply Chain & Risk Management
Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, tariffs, and supply chain risks.
Ensure supplier compliance with legal, safety, sustainability, and brand requirements.
Lead crisis response related to supply shortages or vendor disruptions.
Technology & Process Improvement
Oversee procurement systems and purchasing platforms.
Drive automation, reporting enhancements, and data analytics capabilities.
Establish KPI dashboards and procurement performance metrics to be shared monthly.
Improve process efficiency across purchasing and accounts payable workflows.
Team Leadership
Lead and develop corporate procurement team, elevating impact across the portfolio.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, service, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership across all company functions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business, Hospitality Management, Finance, or related field required
10+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain leadership experience, preferably within hospitality, hotels, resorts, restaurants, or multi-unit operations.
Strong experience negotiating enterprise contracts and managing vendor relationships.
Proven success delivering measurable cost savings and operational improvements.
Experience supporting hotel operations, renovations, and capital projects preferred.
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and strategic planning skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
Experience with procurement and ERP systems such as Coupa, Sage, or similar platforms preferred.
