Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead engagement strategy across multiple brands, audiences, and workstreams, translating business goals and customer needs into connected omnichannel strategies.
  • Own the strategic approach to customer journeys, experience ecosystems, channel roles, content sequencing, behavioral drivers, and moments that matter.
  • Direct the development of data-driven briefs and engagement frameworks that inspire creative, media, experience, and technology teams.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative research, audience intelligence, media behavior, cultural trends, CRM data, and campaign performance into clear strategic direction.
  • Partner with brand strategy to connect brand positioning and communications strategy to actionable customer experiences across channels and touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with media, data and analytics, CRM, technology, user experience, and creative teams to design integrated programs and define opportunities for personalization and optimization.
  • Guide measurement planning by establishing objectives, customer behaviors, success indicators, learning agendas, and optimization opportunities with analytics partners.
  • Serve as a trusted senior advisor to clients, leading strategic conversations and presenting complex thinking in a clear, compelling, and actionable way.
  • Provide strategic oversight and quality control across deliverables, ensuring consistency, rigor, and a strong connection between insights, strategy, execution, and measurement.
  • Find opportunities to expand client relationships, shape new scopes of work, and bring proactive strategic ideas to existing business.
  • Play a leadership role in new business pitches, including insight development, strategic narrative, engagement planning, and presentation delivery.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop engagement strategists across levels; set clear expectations, allocate resources effectively, and create opportunities for growth.
  • Help evolve the Engagement Strategy discipline through tools, best practices, training, thought leadership, and collaboration across the agency and Publicis network.

Qualifications

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, behavioral science, anthropology, sociology, psychology, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in engagement strategy, experience strategy, communications planning, digital strategy, CRM, omnichannel planning, or a related discipline.
  • Significant healthcare, pharmaceutical, or life sciences agency experience, with the ability to navigate complex brands, audiences, and regulatory environments.
  • Experience leading strategy across HCP, patient, caregiver, and/or payer audiences and across a mix of personal and non-personal channels.
  • Proven experience managing senior client relationships, leading teams, and overseeing strategy across multiple accounts or a complex portfolio of work.
  • Experience contributing to organic growth and leading strategic workstreams for new business pitches.

Skills and Capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to connect customer insight, brand strategy, channel behavior, content, data, and technology into an actionable engagement vision.
  • Deep understanding of customer journeys, omnichannel ecosystems, channel roles, audience segmentation, personalization, and experience planning.
  • Strong command of qualitative and quantitative research and the ability to translate varied data sources into focused strategic recommendations.
  • Ability to balance high-level strategic leadership with hands-on development and refinement of briefs, frameworks, journeys, and presentations.
