Full Job Description
Booking Holdings' dedicated B2B division drives global business-to-business strategy and distribution across our premier travel brands.
We are seeking Controller to help build and lead the accounting foundation for this B2B organization. This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible leadership role at a pivotal moment: shaping the controllership, reporting infrastructure, governance model, and operating discipline of a multi-billion-dollar business from the ground up.
Reporting directly to the B2B Chief Financial Officer and with accountability to the Chief Accounting Officer, this leader will serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on financial, operational, and strategic matters. The successful candidate will combine strong technical accounting depth with operational leadership, sound judgment, high AI/technology aptitude, and the ability to influence across a complex global organization.
In this role you will get to:
• Build the reporting infrastructure required to support governance, management, and statutory reporting for a newly established brand within Booking Holdings;
• Oversee the consolidation, close, and timely reporting of accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end GAAP financial statements;
• Lead accounting operations and financial controllership across multiple entities and jurisdictions globally;
• Own the consolidation of more than $3 billion in global revenue, along with complex expense structures, including allocations and bespoke performance metrics;
• Ensure the integrity of financial accounting and reporting, including many internal deliverables to the Booking Holdings group;
• Leverage leading AI tools to automate processes and improve efficiency while operating within a strong ICFR environment;
• Establish and mature accounting policies, end-to-end procedures, governance standards, and alignment processes to ensure controlled and scalable close operations;
• Build and lead the organization's resourcing strategy, including hiring, succession planning, performance management, and talent development;
• Drive alignment, harmonization, and execution across locations, teams, and functions within Accounting and Finance;
• Partner proactively with senior leaders across finance and non-finance functions, influencing upstream stakeholders to optimize end-to-end processes while safeguarding compliance and controls;
• Ensure the design, documentation, and execution of internal controls meet rigorous Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance standards;
• Manage relationships with internal and external auditors to maintain a well-controlled, risk-mitigated environment.
What you have:
• Experience: 15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience, heavily favoring a background originating in public accounting coupled with leadership inside a $1B+ public corporation.
• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Credentials: Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
• Organization Agility: Prior experience navigating complex, highly matrix-oriented corporations.
• Technical Stack: High proficiency with enterprise-level financial infrastructure, typically leveraging ecosystems like Oracle EBS, SAP, Hyperion/HRM, Essbase, BlackLine, and OneStream.
• Experience with carve-outs or M&A preferred.
• Exceptional analytical skills and natural curiosity regarding financial metrics and key business drivers.
• Strong communicator, able to adapt style and message depending on audience with executive presence.
• Ability to translate complex accounting topics and process issues in an easy digestible way to stakeholders
• High integrity standards, transparent behavior.
• Able to function in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.
• Data driven, experimental, ready to learn and open to change.
