What you're applying for

We're looking for an experienced Vendor Manager to join Lemonade's Vendor Management team. This is a highly project-oriented role where you'll work closely with business leaders to own external vendor relationships and drive overall vendor strategy amongst our various departments.

You'll be instrumental in defining how we internally manage vendor partnerships, improve performance, and drive scalable processes within the organization.

In this role you'll

• Lead the strategy for vendor partnerships across one or more lines of business
• Drive initiatives that increase automation and internal efficiency within the VM team
• Manage key partnerships with external vendors as the relationship owner
• Collaborate with internal cross-company teams to refine processes and workflow that impact vendors
• Master the systems and workflows our vendor partners use to complete tasks
• Audit vendor performance to ensure SLAs and contractual compliance
• Produce executive level reporting and utilize data to make strategic recommendations to internal stakeholders

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience as a Vendor Manager at a fast paced fintech or insurance company
• Insurance vendor experience, a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field
• Proven experience working with Insurance vendors, special emphasis given to candidates with experience managing vendors in the Telematics or Car space
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges
• Expert negotiation and project management skills
• Superb analytical mindset to drive better vendor performance and cost containment
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret data from dashboards to drive decision making
• Ability to work remotely
• Enthusiasm about learning and adapting to the exciting world of AI - a commitment to exploring this field is a fundamental part of our culture

Lemonade's US base salary range for this full-time position is $115,000 - $125,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Speak to your recruiter to hear more about the specific salary range for your preferred location.
