Gritter Francona is looking for a Project Manager that is responsible for leading, coordinating, and ensuring the successful execution of modernization initiatives supporting the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Veterans Family Member Program (VFMP) Modernization Portfolio. This role provides oversight of projects from initiation through completion, ensuring all scope, schedule, quality, and contractual requirements are met while supporting the continued delivery of modernization solutions that improve operational efficiency, scalability, and service delivery.

The Project Manager serves as the primary coordinator across Government stakeholders, Integrated Project Teams (IPTs), vendors, and technical teams to ensure projects are delivered in full, without barriers or partial solutions resulting from Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) or other technical dependencies.

Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of modernization initiatives within the VFMP Modernization Portfolio.

Ensure all project deliverables are completed in accordance with contract requirements, Government standards, and approved project governance processes.

Provide clear direction to project teams by defining work requirements, assigning responsibilities, identifying priorities, and establishing the most efficient path for successful project completion.

Coordinate cross-functional efforts involving business, operational, technical, and vendor stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and issues that may impact project success, with particular emphasis on EDI-related dependencies.

Ensure modernization efforts support VFMP operational objectives, including:
  • Maintaining inventory within established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Sustaining processing timeliness as program volumes increase.
  • Maintaining operational accuracy.
  • Implementing measurable performance management capabilities.
  • Delivering user-friendly solutions that are sustainable for VFMP staff and VHA maintenance teams.

Support modernization initiatives that improve efficiency across high-volume business operations, including:
  • Beneficiary enrollment
  • Claims adjudication
  • Appeals processing
  • Benefits coordination
  • Care coordination
  • Pharmacy support
  • Nurse review
  • Processing of non-standard customer requests

Coordinate technical implementation activities related to Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) across provider, eligibility, and claims transactions to ensure modernization efforts are fully integrated and operational.

Monitor project performance using established metrics and provide regular status reporting to Government leadership and stakeholders.

Facilitate communication among Government program offices, contractors, vendors, and Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).

Ensure projects remain aligned with VFMP modernization objectives, VHA strategic priorities, and portfolio management strategies.

Promote continuous process improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery, governance, and operational effectiveness.
