About the job

As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products.

At Google, we "Focus on the user and all else will follow."

In this role, you will focus on enabling third-party effect creators to build new and exciting effects within YouTube's web-based Effect Maker tool. You will design, validate, and refine experiences with Effects in Shorts and Creation within the YouTube Main app. This position requires strong end-to-end user experience skills to manage user experience and bring effects directly into the YouTube app experience, such as the camera, effect picker, and swipe functionality. You will collaborate closely with adjacent Shorts and creation teams, and partner with product managers to unlock new opportunities such as monetization and custom branded effects.

At YouTube, we believe that everyone deserves to have a voice, and that the world is a better place when we listen, share, and build community through our stories. We work together to give everyone the power to share their story, explore what they love, and connect with one another in the process. Working at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and boundless creativity, we move at the speed of culture with a shared goal to show people the world. We explore new ideas, solve real problems, and have fun - and we do it all together.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
