You will help safeguard the integrity and security of our global treasury activities while driving efficiency through automation, artificial intelligence, and industry best practices.

Reporting to the National Manager, Treasury Operations, this person will support the department's objective to provide a robust liquidity and risk management framework that empowers Toyota's global financial success.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you'll be at the center of finance, technology, and strategy, helping ensure treasury operations run smoothly while continuously finding smarter ways to work. Success means being a trusted subject matter expert who strengthens controls, improves processes, and helps the team deliver with accuracy, speed, and confidence.

  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to launch new Treasury and Toyota Financial Savings Bank products, ensuring operational readiness from planning through execution.
  • Identify and implement automation and AI-enabled solutions that improve scalability, strengthen straight-through processing, and enhance control effectiveness.
  • Review and approve high-value treasury investments, debt issuances, and derivatives, ensuring accurate settlement and reconciliation with global counterparties.
  • Build and maintain strong policies and controls, serving as the primary lead for internal and external audits and supporting SOX and banking compliance.
  • Partner closely with Treasury, Accounting, Tax, Legal, and IT teams to enable system enhancements and strategic programs that support evolving business needs.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing team while fostering accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
  • Stay connected to the business by participating in the Treasury Leadership Desk Rotation, building deep operational expertise across Long-Term, Short-Term, and TFSB funding desks.

What you bring

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex treasury operations, capital markets funding, debt servicing, derivatives, collateral management, cash management, operational risk controls, or similarly regulated financial processes.
  • Demonstrated experience as a hands-on working manager, directly leading, developing, and scaling a high-performing team while remaining actively engaged in day-to-day operations.
  • Hands-on experience with Treasury Management Systems, such as Wallstreet Suite or FIS Quantum
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day operational demands in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
  • Experience developing and maintaining operational controls, procedures, documentation, and audit support materials within a controlled environment.
  • Ability to leverage data analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve operational efficiency, reporting, decision-making, risk monitoring, and process effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills that help you assess operational, financial, and regulatory risk effectively.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated success communicating effectively with senior leadership, auditors, regulators, banking partners, and cross-functional teams.

Added bonus if you have

  • An MBA or an advanced degree.
  • A Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification.
  • Experience supporting banking operations, deposit products, liquidity management, or regulated financial institution activities, including Toyota Financial Savings Bank (TFSB) or similar banking environments.
