Full Job Description
Boston Government Services, LLC. (BGS) has created this Evergreen Talent Pool post for gathering qualified candidates for a position relating to Tier II-III Incident Response Analyst-Senior to support our clients in various locations across the US.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Tier II-III Incident Response Analyst leads advanced incident investigations, forensic response, threat hunting, malware analysis, cyber threat intelligence, and response coordination for high-impact cybersecurity events affecting client systems and data.
  • Lead or coordinate advanced incident response investigations and escalated security events.
  • Conduct deep-dive forensic analysis, malware analysis, suspicious code review, artifact analysis, and network/endpoint investigation.
  • Coordinate response actions for identified threats, intrusions, anomalies, and suspicious activity.
  • Perform APT hunting, IOC development, intelligence vetting, and CTI dissemination.
  • Support digital evidence handling, full disk imaging when required, chain-of-custody documentation, and evidence preservation.
  • Provide quality assurance on incident closure, after-action reporting, remediation recommendations, and knowledge management updates.
  • Support SOC engineering efforts by identifying monitoring gaps, control improvements, detection enhancements, and procedural refinements.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Senior-level experience in incident response, forensics, threat hunting, malware analysis, security operations, or cyber threat intelligence.
  • Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, forensic tools, packet analysis, malware analysis tooling, threat intelligence platforms, IDS/IPS, and case management systems.
  • Knowledge of federal incident response reporting requirements, NIST SP 800-86, and structured evidence handling procedures.
  • Ability to lead technical investigations and brief technical/non-technical stakeholders.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Successful drug screening.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • GCFA, GCFE, GREM, GCIH, GCIA, CISSP, CySA+, CEH, or equivalent.


Location/Work Arrangement:
  • Schedule is full-time, Monday - Friday 40-hour week, 4/10's, or 9/80's and may require on call or overnight shifts depending on contract needs.
  • This position may be fully onsite or hybrid/remote depending on the needs of the specific contract.
