Position Description: We are seeking an experienced Test Lead with strong hands-on expertise in the Earnix Rating/Pricing platform and extensive Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance experience. The successful candidate will lead testing activities for complex rating and pricing initiatives, including the migration and integration of rating capabilities between Guidewire and Earnix.
This role requires strong knowledge of insurance rating workflows, pricing models, data migration, integration testing, and end-to-end quality assurance.
The role is hybrid and requires attendance at our downtown Toronto office and/or client office a minimum of three days per week. This requirement is subject to change at any time.
Your future duties and responsibilities:• Define, own, and execute the overall test strategy and test approach for complex rating and pricing initiatives.
• Lead end-to-end functional, integration, regression, data migration, and user acceptance testing activities.
• Validate Earnix rating algorithms, pricing models, business rules, rating factors, underwriting rules, and premium calculations.
• Lead testing activities related to migration from Guidewire rating systems to Earnix, including source-to-target reconciliation and validation of historical policy and pricing data.
• Validate end-to-end integrations between Earnix, Guidewire Policy Administration Systems, downstream applications, and external data systems.
• Validate complete insurance rating workflows from quote through bind across Personal and/or Commercial Lines.
• Establish and maintain test governance, entry and exit criteria, defect management processes, quality controls, and release-readiness reporting.
• Work closely with actuarial/pricing teams, business stakeholders, and IT delivery teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Provide clear reporting on testing progress, defects, risks, dependencies, quality, and release readiness.
• Provide leadership and direction for complex, data-intensive testing activities across the program.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:• 10-15 years of QA/testing experience within the Property & Casualty insurance industry.
• Hands-on experience with the Earnix Rating/Pricing platform.
• Proven experience testing Earnix rating algorithms, pricing models, and configured business rules.
• Strong ability to validate premium calculations across Personal and/or Commercial Lines.
• Strong understanding of P&C insurance rating workflows and insurance pricing constructs, including rating factors, underwriting rules, and pricing attributes.
• Demonstrated experience defining and owning test strategies and leading end-to-end testing for complex programs.
• Experience leading functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
• Strong experience establishing test governance, entry/exit criteria, and defect management processes.
• Strong data migration testing experience, including source-to-target reconciliation and data quality validation.
• Experience validating rating factors, historical policy/pricing data, and underwriting/pricing attributes.
• Experience with migration from Guidewire rating systems to Earnix.
• Proven experience testing integrations between Earnix and Guidewire Policy Administration Systems.
• Experience validating integrations between Earnix and downstream/external data systems.
• Strong experience validating end-to-end rating flows, including quote-to-bind scenarios.
• Strong SQL and data validation skills.
• Experience with API testing and integration validation.
• Hands-on experience with test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, and/or ALM.
• Experience collaborating with actuarial/pricing teams, business stakeholders, and IT delivery teams.
• Strong ability to communicate test progress, risks, defects, quality status, and release readiness.
Nice-to-Have Skills
• Experience leading or driving test automation for rating validation.
• Experience with TOSCA and regression automation for pricing scenarios.
• Experience with Postman and/or RestAssured.
• Strong familiarity with the Guidewire ecosystem.
• Experience testing integrations with enterprise data platforms and external data providers.
• Experience with large-scale rating modernization or transformation programs.
• Experience with parallel runs and post-migration validation.
• Experience working within complex, multi-system insurance environments.
• Experience within the Canadian P&C insurance market.
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models.
• Previous leadership experience on complex, data-intensive testing initiatives.

The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000-$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
